woooooooooooooow I really Like the echo effect and rewind effect they was so incredible
can you check out my game please(>.<)
make sure to verify the gameplay setting before palying
Very cool concept, the character art is nice as well.
I think the movement can be a little faster that will make the game feel a little better,
Overall great entry, very creative and well executed.
Good job!
Really cool game, looks great and the mechanics work great. The delay before going to the next level felt a bit weird, I think it would have made more sense if the character continued walking off-screen.
I really did want to make it like that and then you see the 3 large tiles that appear behind the spawn in every level? Those were supposed to be like a door that closed behind you but I ran out of time. I appreciate that you played!
Nice platformer with an interesting mechanic. I found a few of the timings to be frustratingly tight though overall your implementation is solid.
Thank you for playing! Not sure if you found it, but there is infinite coyote time. I added that to make it easier. or rather, I didn’t remove it.
Which levels were you getting frustrated by?
Since the echoes dissappeared so quickly it took me quite a few tries to beat level three, and I was unable to get past level four.
Ah yes, sorry about that. apparently faster (better) computers are having this issue. I will be uploading a patch this evening if you want to experience it. There is a video as well if you want to see what comes after.
This game reminds me a lot of what I'd kind of hoped for my game to be like except done much better. This is awesome.
Edit: to be clear, I'm saying yours is executed much better than mine was, not that mine is better than yours. Just want to specify this in case my words came across weirdly or anything
your words were perfect! Thank you for the kind feedback. I appreciate you telling me the execution was, on a technical level, good. That is the part that required the most work!
neat mechanics, i also like the dynamic sound
Thank you! Music is my specialty! ;)
Loved the mechanic and concept, although the player moves a bit slowly and I couldn't reach the button fast enough to beat level 4, I would have loved to get to play the rest of the game.
Edit: Found a way to bypass level 4 by using the time reversal mechanic early, love the rest of the game, this is probably my favorite entry I've played so far.
You are not the first person to say that. Can you give it another try and this time, try pressing shift while standing on the top button, and then running to the left to beat the level?
I determined the issue and thank you for pointing it out! I’ll update you when it is fixed.
Awesome entry!! Really nice design. Love the idea.
I couldn't seem to get past the 'use echoes to reach higher ground' level (got to the higher ground, but the echo didn't stay long enough for me to reach the 2nd button). Unless I'm missing something ^_^
You’re missing something! Lol. But, I’ll answer it for you. Leave your echo on the top button, and then run to the bottom button.
I tried that xP
By the way, I really love the vfx when you echo and the dynamic music is an especially nice touch!!
(p.s. I recognize this little dude- is he from an asset pack?)
I determined the issue and thank you for pointing it out! I’ll update you when it is fixed.
He is from the pixel adventure asset pack here on itch! I loved his tech and space vibe and based the whole game around that look.
Super awesome art and animations. However I couldnt figure out how to beat the fourth level (the one with the block)
Try pressing shift on the top button, and then running down to the bottom button.
I determined the issue and thank you for pointing it out! I’ll update you when it is fixed.
Really cool core mechanic :D
Thank you! I worked really hard on that. I’ll be detailing the process in a devlog soon. And can’t wait to try your game out
