The art is really cool! The gameplay does feel a bit plain as you just have to walk around for a (pretty) long time... But it has a lot of potential!! Good luck an good job :)
Thanks a lot! I'm also aware that the gameplay is far too simple, but unfortunately I didn't have enough time to think of/implement another mechanic
I face the time issue too XD, it really sucks!
The art is really good ! I think if you could interact with objets or had something a way to get hurt it would make the gameplay more diverse, (but it didn't bother me), X) Good game !
Thanks! The interacting thing was an idea, I even set up the "interact" control, but I never used it as I couldn't come up with anything in the short time I had
Really nice art and gameplay, awesome concept! :D
Thanks a lot!
Nice pixel art!
Thanks! Art by plutoniantoad
i liked the art, reminded me of pokemon
Thanks! The idea was to make a simple undertale-style pixel art
I really like the art and the colors
Thanks a lot! Credit goes to plutoniantoad
The atmosphere and environment feel really spooky and strange. The sprites are amazing and emphasizes the horror elements. I like how mysterious the game is, but the gameplay really tested my patience lol.
Haha yeah, I guess making everything random really does make the gameplay boring after a while
i fell in love with the music and the pixel art
Haha, thanks! Art was done by plutoniantoad
music iz sick, art iz sick, would be even better with like one more mechanic (like a patrolling enemy or something) but i had much fun playing it
Yeah I was also worried myself that the gameplay would be kinda boring, but unfortunately I didn't have enough time to implement a new mechanic. Even putting a bunch of enemies that chase you in some stages would've taken a lot of time
I escaped the nightmare! I like this game's atmosphere, in a weird way the repeating rooms with slight differences/orientation really sell the eerie feeling. The 5th key also took a while for me haha, it was a bit too much. Well done nonetheless!
Thanks a lot! The 5th key indeed is hard to get as there are very few chances of finding it haha, guess I should've made it in a different way instead of making it totally random
Nice job! The art looks nice, & the music sets a spooky atmosphere quite well. However, the gameplay of only walking around gets tedious & boring quickly, & I wasn't able to complete the game due to none of the rooms giving me the 5th key that I needed. Still, good job.
Thanks for the feedback!
I was myself quite concerned about the gameplay being boring at some time, but I couldn't come up with anything else in the short time I had. Also in each room you'll find a single key, meaning that if you're missing a single key, you'll only be able to find it in its respective room and nowhere else. Although I must say finding all the keys can be very easy just as it can be very hard, as everything is based purely on luck.
I had fun :) but there is probably not the 5th key so you can't escape the nightmare...
There is! The thing is that the keys have a 25% chance of appearing, so if you're very unlucky well... it can take a while.
The more keys you get, the more it's unlikely to find the remaining ones as you first have to be randomly spawned in the stage where the key is missing, and then you also have to do it multiple times until the key appears, so basically if you're missing just one key, you'll have to be very lucky to find the last one.
I tried 15 times so I guess that I'm unlucky. I thought that it was intended... that you can't escape :))
Haha it would've been a nice concept, but you can escape, it's very hard but you can
