interresting game. The time was a good idea ! But I think the Air Jump is too big
I really liked that it forced you to learn the mechanics but not in an impossible way. Plus racing against yourself was great!
The laps was a great implementation, I think having to do those difficult jumps on a set timer would have been way to stressful. Was nice that I was just racing my own times. The difficulty ramped up really quickly but was fun overall!
An interesting way to combine platforming and racing, I like it. It's also cool that the game makes you correctly calculate the power of the jump (on the second level with spikes on the ceiling in a narrow space, this was especially well felt).
I like it!
The game is fine, but some improvement would help it. The floaty-ness of the controls does go in line with the frog, making it pretty cute, but it does make things a bit more difficult than needed. The idea of doing laps is a really nice implementation of the limit, but with how big the levels are, at least relative to the speed of the frog - it can feel a bit on the tedious side. The gore deaths are a nice surprise, and adds a little humor into the mix. The art and music are pretty cohesive, as it gives a very retro feel to the game
First off, I like how floaty the jump is, but I feel like the controls would be a lot tighter if there was more air resistance when jumping. Also, having to go around each stage 3 whole times feels tedious, especially when nothing changes each lap.
I think that the player should either just have to go through the level one or two times, or there should be something that changes each lap, like the obstacle positions. Finally, each level feels very samey, which I think could be helped by focusing on having more unique mechanics in each level, like moving platforms, enemies, etc.
Thanks much for the feedback. These are things I did consider so it helps me know I was on the right track. The big blank spots on the maps and lack of variation are big issues. Probably should have spent more time on less levels. Thanks a bunch!
Fun little game! It's fun seeing how much faster you get with each loop. The death animation caught me off guard :D Good job!
its alright, its not that bad, but its also not that good
Would love to know how I could improve this. It looks like you made a platformer too. What would you take from your game that could make mine better? I spent most of the jam on the physics and making sure it played properly and was a FULL game. Let me know what suggestions you have for me.
i do not have any suggestions unfortunately, probably cuz i didnt play it fully it was too hard for me (im bad at platformers) :/
