Really neat game! I included it in my Mini Jam 107 compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look. :)
This game has good vibes xD groovy af :D Had fun playing this! good use of gravity and the music was good too! I liked the art too!! Awesome job on this! :D
Good game was not for sure how to play until i read the comments.
Music is great! And the art and concept are really cool! Although it was a bit complex and not too easy to understand, and the controls weren't too easy to use.
Thank you! Though it seems that the gameplay wasn't as intuitive as I thought. The basic idea is that you're supposed to use the gravity field to increase the momentum of the notes, then turn off the gravity field to 'throw' the notes at the enemies. I hope that makes it easier to understand :)
This is super cute. The menu music is BANGING. Movement felt smooth, but very heavy. Thought the use of gravity was interesting - trying to use my music notes to hit the bad vibes - but everything moved with a lot of torque and it was difficult to feel I was in control of things.
Thanks for the feedback. I'm pretty new to making my own music, so I'm glad you liked the menu song :) I'm not sure if this will help with the torque feeling, but the general idea for the gameplay is that you're supposed to 'throw' the notes by timing when you turn off the gravity field with the momentum of the note. I'm not sure knowing that will make it feel any better, but I hope it helps.
Oh that makes sense! Thanks for pointing that out. Gave it a shot - felt fun to make an eighth note massacre >:)
Nice idea, I like the main character art. Would have been nice having some sounds to give feedback on collection or getting hurt. Overall good though, well done.
Thank you! I originally had some sound effects on collisions, but with how frequently objects collide, they ended up being kinda annoying and clashed with the bgm. I probably should have left one in for taking damage, or added some type of non-audio cue. Thank you for the feedback!
Particle effects can be good for this, also if you have an array of audio clips you can randomise which one plays to make it a little less grating.
