It was nice pushing those ghosts into the sacrifice box. The powerups are interesting but a help text for them would be great (it took me way too long to notice the boots increased attack speed haha). I agree with Mike on the health bar thing, it'd be great if I just had to worry about the statues' health and not my own.
That being said, I really enjoyed the concept, and the gameplay is very fun. Good job!
Thank you for playing, I will see how it goes without the enemies damaging the player and I will add a description of the powerups in the next version.
Nice work! At first I was trying to keep ghosts away from the sacrifice box in the middle (lol), but once I understood the mechanics I started having fun. Knocking ghosts into the sacrifice box and scoring powerups was satisfying. I didn't love managing my own health in addition to protecting the statues. I think the game would be more fun if I didn't have my own health bar to worry about. Awesome job getting this done as a solo dev in three days!
yeah, I noticed after a while that I wasn't losing because of the statues died as much as because the ghosts killed me,I will have to try and see if I can fix this.Maybe I can make the ghost only attack the statues while another enemy chases you.Also thanks for playing.
Thought the game was pretty good, though jumping in without a menu is a little jarring

I plan on releasing another version that fixes some bugs and some extra content I would appreciate being pointed in the right direction.
maybe the attack speed, the movement, I dont know its only my feeling but its really ok for 3 days game jam!
those are both improved with the boot powerup but I will see about tweaking it to make it feel better and I appreciate the kind words
I enjoyed the mechanic of getting the ghosts to sacrifice themselves with careful positioning. It ended up working really nicely with the mechanic of protecting the statues - as more were destroyed it became easier to direct the ghosts, but with the cost of getting closer to losing.
There was a nice range of powerups, didn't realise the boot boosted attack speed too until I read the comment below but was definitely grateful for it once I did.

I think a bit more dynamism wouldn't hurt x) , something like faster attack could do the trick. Nice job for the power up system.

Thanks for the kind words, I wanted to have more unique powerups but couldn't get it figured out in time for the jam, also, the boot powerup increases your attack speed too.
