Cool game and I really enjoyed it! The ability to change colors of the canons also gave it more of a "competitive" sense to want the 2x damage bonus and it's also interesting how it grants a debuff to the player since the canon won't hit enemies of a different color!

Use of the limitation
The player may change the color of their placed cannons to target enemies of the same color and deal 2x damage, however this means that their cannons will not target enemies of a different color, giving them a risk/reward situation which may benefit them or result in them losing - Thus making them their own enemy.

This concept was very unique, the only problem I had was that sometimes I felt like cannons didn't target any enemy, I didn't really get if it was supposed to be like that with the changing colors
Cute game! Relaxing artstyle. I wasn't sure if it was possible to move the camera though? Interesting use of the limitation!
Cool game, like how you implemented the limitation, but you have added more ris factor to normal cannons so people would actually choose the color benefits as you can play even without taking the color bonus.
Awesome art and music though
Check out my game as well
Nice game! Love the stetic, at first I wasn't understading why the turrets weren't shooting, but after undestand the mechanic I enjoyed it a lot! I used the color changing mechanic but it is true that the easiest way to play is not changing the colors of the turrets
This game was fun, but really challenging. My only issue is that I would change my turrets to one color, and then I wouldn't be able to make more cannons to deal with other monsters. However, that's probably my inability to strategize coming into play XD. Otherwise a super cool spin on the Tower Defense genre.
That was a really good tower defense game. The graphics are beautiful and it was really satisfying destroying all the little monsters.
I understand you did it for the limitation, but not being able to reset the colors of your guns somehow was a bit annoying. Unless I'm missing something?
I was also expecting the game to end at some point, but I guess it just keeps going. I gave up after round 51. If this was a full game with more levels and enemies I would enjoy playing more of it.
Nice work!
Hi kerneliron! Thanks for playing, I'm happy you think it's a really good tower defense game! (This is actually the first TD game I've made!)
Thanks for your suggestion in resetting tower colours - I would have loved to implement this but I didn't to keep the game more tailored to the jam's limitation! - And yes, the game is indeed endless! After round 20 each round the enemies will get faster and grow in number! 😄
Great game, the presentation and 3D visuals looked awesome. Sometimes gameplay could be confusing, but it was still really fun.
Hello! I absolutely love tower defenses and yours is a good one.
There is still a crucial problem with the game design of your game.
I just have to skip and not choose a color and I'll just kill them all with the basic color.
Anyway, good job and good luck with your next production.
Great job on this! It's a simple but fun premise that has lots of room for expansion after the jam if you choose to do so, and the level of visual polish on display here is simply staggering! Well done! :)
Wow, this game looks amazing! I particularly love the enemy model
In terms of gameplay, it starts out fun, but it's clear there needs to be some balance changes. You can easily make an impassable wall of turrets since the enemies don't ever increase in health. Unfortunately, it's optimal to ignore the color-changing mechanic; a 2x damage increase doesn't mean much when you hit 1/3 of the enemies.
Great work, I think this game has a lot of potential!
Really liked the 3d models and animations as well as music and sounds. Good job! However the color changing mechanic needs a little more balance. I simply placed 8 autocannons at the entrance and never changed their color, as a result enemies were being destroyed immediately after spawning.
I don't really play tower defense games but I liked this game! The graphics are nice, the gameplay is simple and overall I enjoyed it. I also really like the color changing mechanic.
During my first game, I was completely caught off guard by the purple one and I think I lost around 40 HP because of it. I was going to keep playing after that but when I tried to place a cannon the game stopped registering mouse clicks because of some kind of glitch so I had to reset the game...
Good looking, cool tower defence game. Well enjoyed :>
