Use of the limitation
Every time you shoot, a part of the game area is corrupted. Bugs can hide behind these corrupted areas, making it significantly harder to destroy them.

Good one the bugs hiding behind the corrupted areas is actually a really cool concept, makes you think you should squat them at the same place as before hence overlapping and minimising the corrupted area. Other than think that the game is pretty well made, the controls are good and i loved the style too! One thing tho i think you should add some life to the background, like people or cars moving in the background or just some particle effects!

Wow very interesting concept!

This concept is amazing! I never actually saw something like this. The game is fun and enjoyable!

As a concept, great! I would love to see more variety, though, perhaps enemies that split up once you shoot them or different window sizes with aiming that scales. Sound effects would also really tie the aesthetic together, like some from sfxr.

I had planned to add all of the things you mentioned and even more but I only managed to get started on the game in the last day and I just didn't have the time for it. I might continue working on it after Mini Jam.

You should! It's fun

Short but sweeet! I loved the interpretation of the limitation, your're really shooting yourself in the foot.

Cool take on the theme, shooting makes it harder to aim, very fun.

The game was very fun and the background really made it all come together along with how well the little screen was drawn. Killing the bugs was also very satisfying overall a GREAT game! 11/10

Oh and I also haven't eaten any cookies we should bake some together :)

I really enjoyed the game, especially the look of it! The background to make it look like a computer screen was really cool!

Hello! I guess you never saw a score of -20k ^^'.

It was satisfying, I ended by going brrrrrrr with a constant space bar pressed.

Cool game, and keep going like this!

Ohhhh wow, such a creative take: Your weapon conceals your enemy from you. I loved every little piece aesthetically, the worms, the static, the window you drag around feels like an retro-futurist instrument, like something out of Bladerunner.

Nice work one everything!

It is an original concept. One of my favorite games on this jam

I really like the concept! Trying to find the last few bugs after the mess I made was a challenge. Great job!

This is one of the most unique game mechanics I've seen recently.

I miss the old days of fun desktop toys / mini games where it's just dumb fun for a short amount of time, like the old "office games" time wasters or classic apps like desktop destroyer.

I'm quite sad that not a lot of people seem to notice this gem since it's a desktop app. I guess for the web version, you can make a faux desktop and have it run full screen.

Thank you for playing!

I had considered making a browser version but it seemed too complicated at the time (probably because it was 3 AM). After your reply, I decided to give it another try and it turned out to be quite simple so the game now has a browser version too!
