This game is pretty fun, the music is nice to bop to, but at the same time, it feels a bit strict overall.

Cool concept, always love a rhythm game! I did find it a bit difficult to match the colours in the bottom with my moves, as it went really really fast, so I actually ended up just moving at random, essentially ignoring the colour queues and instead trying to dodge the laser beams in the loop. It was quite difficult, and I only managed to get the boss down to 100HP. Nevertheless, the game generally felt very coherent, and having a tutorial in the beginning felt very smooth. Nice game, well done! :-D

Very nice game! I love rythm games, I loved Crypt of the Necrodancer so I really liked what you did here. The visuals are nice, the music is great, and there are a lot of cool gameplay ideas. For exemple, I love how messed up it is to control when you are at the bottom of the screen and that some laser patterns force you to go down there. I also really like that you have to keep moving to keep up your combo.

Only two small things bothered me:

- During the tutorial (great job putting an in game one), I was not sure if colors had a gameplay impact. I felt lost at the beginning of the game before understanding that no, colors have no meaning.

- I would love to have a bit more feedback when I get hit or when I miss a stroke. Sound FX is there, but a small screen shake or time freeze goes a long way in terms of ease of understanding what's happening.

Overall super cool jam game, great job ✨

The feedback about colors is completely valid! I'll make sure to make the mechanics a bit more intuitive in my next game. And screen shake is always awesome. I'll definitely put some in my next game hehe. Thank you!

Reminds me of Crypt of the Necrodancer. The only thing I would change, is the max combo. Even after I beat the guy once. I went back to try and get a x200 combo to beat him in one hit, but unfortunately, that was not possible. That, and beating him on 3 hearts, would be the ultimate flex here. 

I also really enjoyed the music to the game, which was very well made. Rhythm games are hard to make, due to the fact that if you're off in the programming by just the slightest bit, it doesn't feel good, but this one was. This one felt very good to play.

Thank you for the comment! I probably should have removed that combo limit sorry about that. It was implemented back when we were still a bit unsure about the intended gameplay experience.

What can I say, I LOVE rhythm games, even more non musical games.

  • Really good both on mechanics, visuals and sound

  • Ticking sounds usually irritates me but it is a good idea to stay on the beat here

  • Could use some light effects like the cells on the disc blinking on the beat for example

  • Please setup Unity to use Physical keys in ProjectSettings>Input or use InputSystem, so that non QWERTY users can play the game without changing the keyboard region

Oh that was such fun! I haven't played Crypt of the Necromancer or other rhythm games like it before, but I stuck with it until I beat the robot and saved the universe. 

Feels good! 

Also, great artwork, I really loved those characters.
