You definitely made good use of the limitation, and used your resources prodigiously!

I love the use of the limitation by having the research be frozen in fear that's really clever! Simple gameplay, but with great presentation and concept. Really good work for your first jam especially one with such a tight time limit such as this one, I hope you keep going with the good work!

Nice art and a very creative way to work the jam's limitation into your game's story.

Very cool idea, I really enjoyed playing!

Thank you Akimaya!

Love the presentation and visuals, really impressive for your first gamejam!

I won't go too much into a detailed review because this is  the first gamejam you guys joined.

The best part of this game for me is the fact that it feels complete and has pleasing art and soundtrack, this is pretty difficult if it's a 3 day gamejam and also your first ever gamejam.

You guys still have more to improve and good luck on that, but please be proud of completing a game in your first-ever gamejam! Really amazes me, I never finished my first or even second up to third gamejam, I had to learn, but you guys did it without experience, Well Done!

Developer

Thank you so much, Danisaurous! That's kind of you to say and very motivating!

Very interesting take, entertaining and not too hard, I'm pretty bad in this kinds of games but I managed to complete it after two tries. While short, it gets the point across and shows potential, though I wish it had more dynamism in the different direction, because they can get mixed up, maybe a more visual indication that they are in the particular direction, like the arrows' position being shifted to the side.

In general a good submission, with a solid take on the limitation. One can even argue that you are building a connection with the wolf and so it fits the theme as well :)

Developer

Thank you Ferhuce! Yes, agreed, I think the positioning of the arrows could be improved to indicate what's the "call" and what's the "response". Also just more movement and dynamism in general would be a huge improvement for our game (success/fail animations, ui animations, some subtle background animations).  Thank you for the feedback, it's super helpful!

If you play the game, you have to know how to play by yourself. However, it represents the topic and has good sounds and pictures, congratulations:)

Developer

Thank you Warface! I definitely think we could have done a better job of educating the player on the basics (even showing the controls briefly would have helped). Really appreciate your helpful feedback!

Hey, welcome to your first game jam. Absolutely awesome job. Very unique take on the limitation, certainly haven't come across another game in the jam utilising this genre. The music added great character and I found myself hitting the replay button. The art work was really good, guessing a bit Pokémon inspired? nice one!

Developer

Thanks KirPow! You're spot on  with the Pokemon inspiration, haha. Thank you for the kind words, we definitely learned a lot especially with everyone's feedback. This is also our first complete game (for both of us on our team), so it's a big win for us just to even finish.

I played your game and I'm still laughing 😄 If you have a moment, I'd love your opinion on my game, it was really fun but it got difficult after a while

Developer

Loved that you laughed! I think Jo and I caught ourselves laughing a bit too as we built it because of how random our premise is. Thanks for the feedback, definitely appreciate your thoughts, and thanks for playing!

Great concept and presentation. Pleasing visuals. Some of my commands didn't register and if they dont it messes up the sequencing. Overall great job!

Developer

Thanks NightModeGames! Yeah totally agree about the commands. I also part of the problem is the lack of clarity for when the player is allowed to begin pressing (the "Ready?" "Your turn!" prompts seem a little slow and not clear enough visually).

I appreciate the kind words. Thanks for playing!

Unique game concept. Nice way to tackle the limitation and theme.

:D

Developer

Thanks Bump! Jo and I wracked our brain trying to think of something after we saw the limitation. I think this concept happened to be our 10th idea, haha. Glad it fits somewhat. Thanks for playing!
