Lovely game. Nice art style and music. The gameplay was funny, because the neurons only need to touch the squares and that's goodg enough to win.
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it :)
Putting a whole story in front of a puzzle game is a nice move!
As the others already mentioned, it was hard to understand, what space a neuron is taking in the grid, but I eventually made it through the game - an indicator of some sort would really add up to the experience.
I love the soundtrack, very cute and chill.
Thank you for this entry!
馃槶 Yes, the puzzle part definitely has an issue : the more feedback we get, the more we realize it... I'm glad you enjoyed the story & soundtrack part!
Cute art and I like the storyline :3
Though the gameplay felt unclear to me (maybe because the shapes of the neurons aren't clear, so I had no idea how to put them correctly)
Glad you liked the art & story ! Apologies for the unclear gameplay :( I would love to make an 1.1 version that could make the puzzles more readable
Really cute and cozy! Other have mentioned about the readability of the shapes, may I suggest a solution?
You can draw the neurons in distinct shapes like this. The shapes would retain their cute characteristics, while you can dramatically improve their readability. Much clearer this way I think.
Overall a great entry! Had a lot of fun messing with my brain (literally).
Glad you found the game cozy, it is totally the vibes I was going for!
Thank you for the solution, I have to admit I really wanted to keep the faces of the characters so this suggestion seems doable to me.I would love to make the "board" more readable as well like in your picture, instead of simple squares. It will definitely be more clear that way, maybe as an update after the jam! thanks!
I like the artwork and presentation good job!
Thank you, it means a lot !
Cute artwork, I had a nice experience playing! :)
Some feedback of my experience - it was a little hard to tell the exact shape of big neurons sometimes. Maybe if they had a very light "tetris block" shape under the characters it could help readability?
Also really liked the music!
Congratulations on finishing the game ! 馃弳
The image that you sent with your feedback is actually so helpful : we are aware that the shapes of the neurons aren't the best but we weren't sure how to make it easier to read :( Your idea helps a lot ! I will try to implement it !!
Thank you so much ! :)
Very novel concept, enjoyed the art a lot as well!
Thanks!
Waaa music in this game soooo classy, I've always loved 8-bit music, it's awesome, and good visual style, i really love it, but this game have a one big problem... it have not enough levels, i want more levels
Woah, that is such a sweet feeback thank you so much ! I am trying to make more and more progress on my music tracks so I'm really glad you enjoyed it ! We were in a bit of a rush for the levels, sorry about that
Cute little game! Certainly a unique take on "Electric". The pixelart is quite pretty, and idle animations are a nice touch too, giving off the feeling the art dances to the music. The soundtrack sounds pretty good.
I couldn't read the tutorial, it autoskips way too fast, wish it would've waited for player input - you already have the "there is more text" hint at the bottom.
The neuron graphics are also cute, but they feel out of place since they don't have the same pixelated style to them, and appear to be blurred/deformed from stretching. It was quite hard to understand what shapes some of the neurons were supposed to be (e.g. the big one in the 1st level, and the 3-tile neuron in the 2nd level).
Thank you so much for the detailled feedback ! Your compliments on the art + music really means a lot.
I completely agree on the dialogues being too fast, I unfortunately (and my teamate either) couldn't find how to skip a dialogue with player input : but I will look into it ! For the neurons shapes, I think it was my bad for trying to make them more "stylized", it ended up being confusing shape wise. Definitely a lesson learnt here! Might make a 1.1 with pixel-art illustrations instead.
Super grateful for your input, thanks again!
