Use of the limitation
I interpreted the limitation literally -- no green is used in the game. I used the ENDESGA 64 palette but removed its 6 shades of green first to prevent accidentally including any green in the art.
Cookies eaten
No cookies, alas. But I ate a ton of peanut butter crackers.

I adored this game! The music, sprites and sounds all contributed to such a nice theme. Keep up the great work!
Thank you so much! I'm glad you liked it!
The retro vibe is so cool! I love it!
Thank you!
Damn, I love the retro vibe!
Were there any games you used for inspiration? Because that really did hit the nostalgic spot!
I would give feedback but cant think of something to change... you could say there is not MUSHROOM for improvement!! 🍄
Haha, thank you! I appreciate the kind words! Yeah, there were several inspirations mixed in here, probably the biggest among them Don Doko Don and Bubble Bobble -- I'm a sucker for old single-screen arcade platformers like that.
Thank you for playing, I'm glad you enjoyed it!
I like it! The art has very good vibes and I liked the stage system that increases in difficulty. I found it a bit hard at times where you have to gain momentum to reach the higher platforms. It would be cool to be able to regain lives by reaching a specific score or by looting them.
If you could try and rate my game, I'd be grateful!
Thank you for playing and for the feedback, I appreciate it! I remember seeing the art for your game, actually, and making a mental note to find it and give it a try; someone posted it in the Mini Jam discord and it is lovely! I'll give it a go later today! :)
You're welcome - game jam are made for this kind of feedback I guess!
Can't wait to have yours on my game :)
Amazing game!! Loved the art and animations. Wished u could attack in the air.
Thank you for playing, and thank you for your kind words about the art -- that's honestly where I focused most of my time on this. Big agree about wanting to be able to attack in the air! I wanted to fix that but ran out of time, unfortunately. If I ever add this kind of attack in a platformer again I'm going to make sure you can attack in the air out of the starting gate.
Really love the art, the mushrooms are so cute, may they RIP
Thank you! I honestly felt a little bad for them making them the bad guys, I had fun drawing them and I think they turned out kind of cute too lol. Maybe the protagonist of my next jam game can be a mushroom...
I loved the game ! It is not very ambitious but every part of it is well done, that's a solid entry, congrats !
Thank you! Yeah, I wish I had gone with something a little more creative than a platformer in retrospect. I think for my next jam I'm going to make a point of going out of my comfort zone and trying to do something more adventurous. I appreciate your feedback, and thanks for playing and leaving a comment! :)
I loved it sorry I can't rate it though
That's okay, I'm grateful you enjoyed it and left a comment! Thank you!
Great sprites and some awesome animations as well! Glad to see you push through even though you took on a big project.
Thank you for playing and for your kind feedback! Yeah, I'm really pleased that I saw it through to the end -- it makes me feel more confident for the next jam. Next time I just need to keep my "too much" impulse under control. ;)
Awesome art! I enjoyed the experience. Brought back memories of playing MableStory and fighting mushrooms again. Finishing a game is always a great win and scope is something even experienced designers wrestle with so don't feel bad about it. :)
Thank you for playing, and for your kind feedback! I'm glad to know I'm not alone in struggling with gauging scope; I think that will be my primary concern starting out during the next jam so things don't get away from me again!
