cute idea, reminds me of the Verb-noun system of Ars Magica, but with the reverse and boost kinda acting like a preffix/Suffix, definitely interested to see how you improve it
ignite-n't Summon
Very nice game! I would love to see more of this. The difficulty could be increased, and it would be interesting to see enemies also summon little fighters. Lots of possibilities here.
Thanks im glad you enjoyed! yeah there really is a lot of ways i could improve the game! I think ill take some time with other projects then come back once find the best way to proceed!
A concept that I haven't seen anywhere else, very original and very beautiful artwork, excellent work! I would be grateful if you could take a look at my game as well, keep up the good work!
Great concept!, It was hard and then i found out how to heal!. My favorite spell is Ignite, Reverse, Scatter.
Yeah looking back I think I should have made healing a bit stronger lol and also communicated it a bit better. Yeah I felt like the shadow spells were the most satisfying!
The concept is cool, like a mix between an auto-battler and a small shooter.
Lots of ideas for improvements and powers to add that could make it even more interesting!
The design of the summoning circle is cool.
If you could try and rate my game, I'd be grateful! Thanks I'm glad you enjoyed! Yeah the summoning circle was actually super simple to make! It was just a slightly modified cuneiform symbol for earth with a few circles, squares, and two rotating sprite masks for the color change! Will do!
Doesn't look simple but I'll believe you :D
nope it really was pretty easy! its would have been a real pain if i wanted to make the pixels not rotate and have animation instead to make it look better but luckily i didnt go down that route lol
We are fans of spellcrafting games and we think that the game industrie is missing some of that ! Since morrowind we did not find any spellcrafting themed games that cover such personalisation ! We look forward your improvement and hope you'll keep up your good ideas !!!
Thanks for playing! Yeah ill def do my best to evolve this idea into something more unique!
I love how you can experiment a lil bit with the spellcasting system, but in the end i mostly just summon fire skulls to beat the final two. Great work.
ah fair enough. I wanted to make enemies that are weak to certain elements but I didn’t have time sorry about that!
No worries, it was fun, the art was nice too, forgot to mention.
That's a really interesting game concept. I keep clicking random combinations and it works, so maybe I'm a master magician xD. Actually, I can imagine this as a real game, with different enemy types with varying weaknesses or a skill tree. I really enjoyed the spellcasting ^^
thanks for enjoying! Yeah I think the concept has some decent potential now I just gotta figure out what genre of game to make with it!
Yo this is cool. I would have liked a bit of tooltips to understand what the effects do but now I have the urge to try spell-crafting for myself now
yeah that def would have made the game a lot better. Yeah Ik right! I got the idea from watching a YouTube video about a show that had a hard magic system where you had to design spells and I just couldn’t get the idea out of my head!
Hi, your game is very exciting! It would be nice if some of the enemies had some resistance to certain elements.
yeah I was planning to do that if I had time but when the jam came out and it said so green the only thing I could think of was grassy enemies! I’m glad you enjoyed though!
It's great for a game made in a day ! The magic system was a bit unclear but it was fun trying different combinations ^^ It reminded me of Magika which as a similar system :)
thanks for playing! Yeah I wish I had more time to add better tooltips or a better tutorial. Oh yeah true
