Use of the limitation
The entire game revolves around one resource: power. It's your health, your currency, and your only line of defense. If you run out, you get a bit of leeway, but otherwise, it's game over.

Effective use of a simple concept, although it's very hard to read the long descriptions of all the different upgrades while also doing a timed minigame and checking all the timers.
Maybe moving the upgrades to in-between levels could help, or if the hectic nature of performing multiple tasks is the point then you should definitely add icons to the upgrades to help players quickly recognize them.
Not sure if winning is possible, by the end I had almost everything maxed out but still got destroyed in two quick hits.
This was one of the first games I reviewed a bit ago, and I really like how quickly difficulty ramps up here. A very interesting concept, and the effects of the disasters gave quite considerable pressure. Turns out I suck at using arrow keys damn
I think it would have been supported much better with more sound or music work but I enjoyed the experience nonetheless. The upgrades were nice and helpful, and you can quickly improve at the game.
Many other submissions utilise power (including mine) but you pulled it off in a unique way by providing a unique input mechanic. It’s very clever since you quickly hit your skill level with your reaction time and quick thinking, any faster and you start to make mistakes, so the game stays inherently challenging enough while not being impossible, and you move at the pace that suits you.
This is really clever, well done! 🔥
Thank you!
A lot of fun. Using the modules and a bit of acclimation, I was able to pick up some wins. The ending is a bit lackluster, though, although I'm glad to see there is one. I also thought it would be interesting if negating a certain attack had any effect on the way in which the game continued, but that didn't seem to be the case, that could have been a fun way to activate a different mode so to speak.
I think I'm pretty close to beating it without using any of the modules, but that's a tough challenge. Restart optioin from the pause menu would be nice for those runs I doom in the start. Great little game.
I just added a restart button!
Small oversight, sorry. Thank you for mentioning it!
Great game!
Despite the simple gameplay it was really interesting! good UI, effects and sounds, in general the game itself is good and looks like a full game!
Thank you!
Reminds me of "Please, don't touch anything" vibes, but opposite. Interesting game idea. I would like to see someone playing this on dance pad xddd
Yep, that was the main inspiration for this game!
Dance pad would be brutal
Quite fun, but also hard! I find myself always dying at some point though, im probably not good enough :D
Yep, I didn't want to make it too easy, but I'm also worrying if I made it too hard. Judging from the comments, however, I think I hit the sweet spot!
Don't forget to use the Modules. Blessing of Chronos helps a lot.
Neat game! I really like how all the effects worked together to give off the electrical vibe. I do also like how you used the limitation in multiple ways :)
Thank you!
It's surprising how effective it is to use a bunch of household objects for raw sound, throw them in the Audacity blender, and have them sound so futuristic. I've looked at a few videos of professional sound design, and their main way of recording the sound is by using regular objects!
Nice spin on a clicker-type game, except you're pressing a button. But you have to pay attention to what you have to press.
Yep, I didn't want any carpal tunnel developing from this game, so I made it wasd instead of rmb. Gets pretty intense at the end!
This was interesting! Surprising how much I had to pay attention to given how simple the game appears to be. The main gameplay reminds me of the ordinance drops in Helldivers 2 and specifically reminds me how bad I am at them lol.
Thank you!
Man, I gotta play Helldivers 2 one of these days.
Different concept. The upgrade part is eye tiring but the game is good.
Thank you!
Yeah, I definitely should've made the upgrade text larger in a tooltip or something similar. It was 5 am though so I couldn't go any further with it. UI is hard.
this is real tough! i haven’t been able to beat it yet. i think the hardest part actually is reading the item descriptions while trying to mash the right arrow keys at the same time!
Yep, the item descriptions were a little hard to read. The upgrade UI was the most "afterthought" part of this project, which is kinda a bad thing. 5 am coding does wonders man.
I'll be sure to improve on it in my next game! Thank you!
A bit frustrating at times but in a good way. Difficult to get the hang of it, but motivating to try new ideas. Very creative design.
I'm in my first playthrough of dark souls iii right now
so funnily enough, it's kinda leaking into my game design a bit
Ok hahaha funny π but in all seriousness I had about 5 cookies this weekend
They were delicious
