I like the way you used secrets in this game, though the no flag level felt a lot harder than the rest as it took me forever to find the trigger even through trial and error. My first thought was that the word "flag" would be the flag or spawn the flag in.

I did notice that when replaying the game after beating it that the platforms that slowly disappear didn't reappear.

Wish the song looped on death so I could keep hearing that BANGER

This feels like the first platformer I ever made, I wish you the best in your game developing path I guess.

Its a good start!

I quite liked how each level was unique with secret elements. How do you beat the level that says "boss fight ahead"?

Developer

I got super sick before I could add the boss fight. The flu, with like 104 degree fever.

It's okay. It remembers me a lot of my games, since they also use Construct 3 and Google Song Maker. It's a good effort, and it's kinda fun. The song is too short and repeats everytime you enter, leave, or die in a level. The lore is pretty fun, too. But the visuals look off, even as something handrawn. Not sure if invisible paths count as secrets.

Overall, nice work!

Thanks! I'm pretty new to game development so I am still learning. Also I'm not sure how to fix the music. Could you explain that so I can fix it?

Submitted

You have to make the music continue through levels; this game jam was my first time making a game.

Nice little game! Unfortunately I got stuck just before the boss fight :(

I recommend to change the graphics a bit, because they are a bit strange.

Also, the lore page looks kinda synetic... I think the lore should be provided by the gameplay, not by clicking a special button.

Finally, as a game designer who also made a game with secrets for this jam, I found that sometimes people get stuck on solving a level/puzzle. In this case, it would be nice to provide additional help/tips.

All in all, it's a cool game for your first jam! I'd also appreciate it if you played mine and rated it!

Developer

Thanks for the feedback, and I'll definitely play and rate your game!

Very cute! The mechanics are very smooth and the progression was great. Loved the little challenges but did get stuck on "there isn't a flag"... unless that's the joke!

Fab:
Cute music
Nice lore
Great level progression
Fun and smooth mechanics

Improvements:
The music should continue through levels/fails as the restarts are jarring, and it could have more variation.
Got stuck on the no flag level! A hint or clue there would do great.

Yeah, there's a secret path that has a trigger, The trigger spawns in the flag. Also I couldn't figure out how to fix the music. Thanks for the feedback!
