Interesting Gameboy-like) Difficult controls, and sometimes unclear features. But overall, great!

Developer

Thank you for playing!

Love the game!  One thing I might work a bit on may be sound design, maybe making each level theme a little longer so that it doesn't loop so quickly.  But other than that, it was a very enjoyable game!

Developer

Yeah! I didn't realize until I was making the track for the last level that 'oh yeah I can make these longer', so I was trying to make real short loops that didn't get too annoying but still had a little character. Definitely will be keeping that in mind for the future. Thanks for playing!

I was not expecting a Gameboy game, so that's pretty cool. Controls are a bit slippery though, which made some parts a bit harder at times. I did appreciate that there were checkpoints in the 5th level.

Developer

Yeah I think less slide-y ness and a slow descent might have helped make the platforming a little less chaotic. I learned some good lessons from this one! Thanks for playing!

Ok wow, what a nice game !! There is an ending and all !!!

I've been a bit lost at the start but after i learned that you can jump higher while jumping on little buddies head, it was okay !

Very nice game, the only flaw is the controls that you.. sometimes dont feel like controling x) (the acceleration and deceleration is a bit too heavy), but an amazing work overall ! gg!

Thanks for the kind words! If I were to make a platformer again, I would definitely try to and tinker around with the physics a bit more to fit the scope of the levels I was making.

Interesting concept of a monster being born lol. Platforming felt alright I found that at points I had no idea I landed on something or if I was hitting the kill zone so some of my jumps just felt lucky but overall good job!

Thanks for playing! It's definitely really jank and I learned some lessons for how I would have to go about create more defined platforms and have more consistent visuals to not confuse the player lol but it was fun to make!

Really liked the art on this, thought it looked great!

Developer

Thank you for checking it out!

Really cute game! Love the artwork and all the different facial expressions on the mountains and other monsters in the game. I like that in the first level the egg rolls around but then gets feet during the next level - really nice touch!

Developer

Thanks for checking it out, glad you appreciated the art style!

It's one of my favorite on this jam. Love the gameboy style and oldschool gameplay. Good old days.

Developer

Glad you liked it, thanks for playing!

It's an okay game, I must say. The idea is VERY unique. And the artstyle is cute. But it's a bit annoying to control the egg without jumping as a feature.

Developer

Yeah I wish I had had more time to experiment with the mechanics a bit. Thanks for playing!

Like the game style, but some parts are so hard

Developer

Yeah I was frustrating myself with my own level design at the end but didn't get to go back and refine it. Thanks for checking it out!

It should have been noted that if you hold X I will jump higher, it helps a lot
