Dude freaking ted very relatable The narration was hilarious for some reason and I love how you used that topic with a frog. The concept was cool and well as many have said Ted and the pixel art are very cute.

May we meet again Ted in a better place in a better time.

really a nice experience! the voice acting was solid and the idea was pretty original

The pixelart was beautiful. The controls and the movement were surprisingly solid.

Just one thing tho. The controls will feel better if you put coyote time in the game.

Developer

True that
I will do my best to implement it

Wow! Loved the narration and story. It might just be a browser issue but I had some jittery audio (played on Microsoft Edge).

Developer

It could be the browser but I will do what I can to fix it

Submitted

I can also try another browser to see if that fixes it!

Very nice game. It has awesome graphics, fun gameplay, a good plot, and certainly a great voice.

Great jumping, loved the background and the effects on the frog :) Voice acting was also great.

not cool dude, I didn't want to cry over a pixelated frog. Jokes aside, from a UX perspective this game is great: It's got nice art with soothing colors, the animations look really great, the controls are tight and responsive (which makes platforming easy, so the player can focus on the story instead. Smart!), the music goes well with the recording, which had the right tone for the story.

On a technical point of view, while the controls feel tighter than many games made in much more time, going left grants you max speed immediately, while going right needs a bit of acceleration, probably a lost line of code, easily fixable. Also, you made the level long enough to let the first clip start before getting to the end, but I think I went a bit faster than needed, because when I got there the clips intersected for a few seconds, which was a bit annoying to hear: you should probably implement a variable that checks if the first clip has finished before starting the next one.

Overall, really nice little story driven game, I liked it, in a few seconds I bonded with Ted and that's a really hard thing to do for a developer. Hats off :D

Thanks for the feedback I am glad that you enjoyed Ted and his story
I will fix few of the thing that you said

The reason I didn't do the check is because I didn't want the player to get stuck at a wall and feel as if they can't pass

Since there is no direct correlation between the walls and the narration but you aren't the first to comment on overlapping voiceline so I will look into something to fix that

Also about the moving left the reason it happened is because I put an else if instead of an if statement  :P

Thank You once again for playing :)

Great use of the concept! The fact that the singular level ties in with the narrative is really cool :)

The narration was good, though there was a time when two audio clips where playing at the same time.

The collectable frog eggs (?) were cool, I liked that there was a part where you needed a certain amount to progress.

The platforming was fun, and the graphics look really cool!

Great game!!!

Developer

Thanks

The frog eggs?  IDK what they are either I just drew it and hoped it looked good :P
I will try to fix the audio thing
