I like this game pretty well, but I think that the visual of the chain is what is throwing everyone off. I think that if it was a conveyor belt or something similar then the game would make more sense, although it would be less stylistic. I too thought the lava was going to flow in a more natural direction.

Something I really liked that I haven't seen anyone comment on is the death of the goblins when you beat the level. the screen shakes a bit and the colors seem a little off. it is a very nice touch and I think the highlight moment of the game jam.

Developer

Thanks!

I'm glad you liked the death effect :)

the last lava is always useless, the lava always move to the right no matter what, the lava clips through the chain half of the time ruining all my plans

other than that, wow that was really cool

Haha, most of the players rush when they drag the skull. If you drag the skull slowly while lava is flowing then the game is no more than a simple puzzle game :)

The last lava is for players to think they got extra lava but that would kill them.

Lava flows to the right cause I wanted it to be a bit more challenging since you wouldn't expect that.

Thanks for playing

that's exactly the definition of "it's not a bug, it's a feature"

the last lava is to trick players??? is this supposed to be good??

when something isn't expected doesn't mean it's challenging, it just feels out of place and there just to bother you and ruin your plan

Ur right, but in order to use the limitation, I had to make that last lava kill you since health is your weapon.

bruh i never even realized that the lava is your health

Developer

I thought it was clear haha, don't you see heart pumping.

reached credits. the lava constantly spraying to the right no matter which way the slope sloped was kind of strange. and moving the platforms while it was flowing felt very cheaty, especially since the lava would often just fall right through to the other side. i see from comments here that that’s intentional, but somehow it felt like i was doing something wrong

Developer (1 edit)

Dragging the skull slowly while lava flows makes the game much easier. Dragging too fast would cause it to fall which is a part of the puzzle.

Lava flows to the right cause I wanted it to be a bit more challenging since you wouldn't expect that.

Congratulations and thanks for playing.

Very creative game. It took me a while to finish. Challenger. Liked it

Developer(+1)

Thank you,

I thought none would make it to the end. But you proved me wrong. congratulations!

Very unique creation here! I felt that the puzzles were a little difficult or ambiguous, to where it felt that winning sometimes felt like a stroke of luck. I really enjoyed the concept of manipulating lava flows. Art and music felt nice too. Good work!

Developer (2 edits)

Thanks!

It's not really luck. U can drag the skull while lava is flowing. Which gives u a lot more control. But dragging to fast would cause lava to fall so drag slowly.

Ohhhh okay. I was positioning them beforehand. Interesting. I'll have to try it that way then

Developer(+1)

Yeah, that usually was the catch at the first level where you drag then spawn lava and let it do its job. It's a little different on other levels :)

Good luck!

all around well done. just need to add that the music needs to be change up a bit the highest instrument makes it feel really repetitive. but other then that great job :)

Really cool entry! tho lava worked alot differently that I thought hehe. Was a good amount of levels and quite interesting puzzles. Great work. Would prefer to see less "Move the arm mid level" Level since the lava seemed a little buggy sometimes.

Overall super solid goblin melting simulator :D

Developer

Thanks!

That buggy thing is a part of the game. It makes the game a little more difficult.

This just like those mobile ads, but real!

fun the hit boxes on the skulls make it hard to move quickly, other than that it was fun.

Developer

Thanks!

Took me a while to understand that I can move skulls while lava is flowing)
I like the idea, very nice puzzle game!

Developer(+1)

Thanks!

You can still drag if the skull limit hasn't reached 0.
