Killed the Kraken!
Wanna say - very nice choice of background music, maybe I'd do it a liiitle bit louder.
It would be cool to return home after the fight, but I understand you had no extra time. I also think the tutorial part is mostly too early, like space to use light and I press space and don't understand why nothing happens. But anyway, its much better tutorial then in our game for sure haha
thank you for your feedback! We wanted a complete dialogue that could explain the controls but it was our first and second time making a game it was kinda hard to learn everything in about less than a month!
such a cool game concept and execution
Thanks a lot !
Very cool, like some other folks also reminds me of Dredge (in the best way)! Love the spooky vibes. Ran into some screen resolution issues where things were cut off for me, but might have just been my browser (Edge)
Screen size issues are our fault. Thanks for the compliment, if only we had the level to create a game like Dredge ahah
I loved the art style and music!
The Kraken monster was really cool, though I found the health bar a bit distracting during the fight.
Overall had fun playing it, reminds me of Dredge.
Thanks a lot! The Kraken would have been better with a body and 4 tentacles in my mind but the deadline wanted it otherwise haha
I've never played Dredge but it does look similar yes!
I defeted the kraken! :)
Movement and controls feel great!
Maybe you could add some feedback on the shooting cooldown, nice entry!
Great job! That's a great point! We'll think about it for our next game with a shooting system!
Really neat! I very much enjoyed the aesthetics and the sound! After the kraken fight I think there should be a victory screen or maybe a task to return home to make it feel like the player has fully completed the game, but the boss fight was quite cool and I liked the detail of the lighthouse beam going across the screen. Good work :D
Thank you for the feedback! The boss battle was implemented just a few hours before the deadline so it might need some tweaking haha
We're glad you enjoyed playing our game!
The game art is really well made! I enjoyed the animations and the small effects with the light, the game was very responsive, and it had its fun elements of shooting at enemies, overall, the atmosphere was good and had some good ideas going for it.
I did have a problem with the Fullscreen as well tried it on edge and on brave and it didn't work, so I had to play in the limited box.
Overall, it was fun though! great entry!
Thank's you !
It was the first game for me and the second game for my friend.
We are currently learning layout and the knowledge we lack for our next game to iterate better !
Theme was used very well, great idea! I only understood that I have to survive until the kraken appears when I read it in the game over screen. Before I did not know what the goal was. Maybe make it very clear what the goal is and give rewards on the way. The kraken healthbar was right next to mine in same color. That was confusing. Fullscreen in chrome was broken. I also wanted to get back to grandma in the end since it was so important in the intro! :D Good job!
Yes as stated in a previous comment the healthbar is a problem we didn't think about :/ But dearly noted for next time! Thank you for your comment! We had to rush the boss part to finish on time and sadly you won't be able to see the grandma's birthday ahah
Cool game! Some feedback: I'm not sure why, but the game didn't go fullscreen when I played on Chrome, but with Firefox it worked! During the boss battle, I think the boss health bar should have been somewhere else/a different color, it looked like I was damaging myself somehow haha! Great work on this, keep making games! :D
Thank you for your feedback! Indeed it makes more sense haha.
It's weird about the fullscreen, it had a glitch on chrome so I deactivated it but I didn't know it would work on Firefox. I'll have to try it out
