Fun idea and the recoil effect looks nice. Also it's a good challenge to fight enemies in tight spaces without hurting yourself, so often it's better to just avoid them all together.  I like that both options work. Water being an instakill is a bit frustrating, especially with the slidy deceleration. All in all it's fun to play though and to find the way till the end.

I really like the mechanics, it feels very satisfying to launch yourself forward. I'd make it a bit more forgiving because some parts can be frustarting with water being an instakill. A cool idea could be to make some items you can get to boost your shotgun and reach new areas. Overall I had a lot of fun jumping around and it's a solid game!

Enjoyed it and liked the idea behind it :)

The gun's recoil was good but I felt that the player was sliding a bit too much, especially when trying to go past water (e.g. on the bridge). I would suggest stopping the movement when the player stops pressing.

Still a good, fun game tho!

This is a fun game, having to launch enemies into walls was a good challenge.  I found myself touching the water and instant dying a lot though, and perhaps the death animation could play out before the player is sent back to the checkpoint as I saw myself die after I got back to the area and it can be quite jarring to be instantly sent back.

Great job overall!

It's a nice game, albeit a bit hard for me to play as I have a touchpad only and no mouse(but that's my issue haha). The only issue I encountered would be that once I ricochet between screens a bit and it can make me a bit confused.

Wrong door buddy, Shoot to Move in GMTK Jam is that way.

Jokes aside, this was a pretty fun game. I did ran into the autowalk bug others have already mentioned. Couple things to mention was that the first level that introduces the devil, I saw him for a split second before he just walked into the water and died lol so that's amusing. Another thing is that I didn't realize you couldn't kill the knights directly for a while, I thought they just tanked damages really well. so maybe change the hit feedback for them, like swap the SFX for a metal sound maybe? Most of the mechanics are pretty interesting, and overall pretty well done, gg.

The recoil was a really nice mechanic and I wish it was used more to kill the boss, but still a really fun game to play and I enjoyed it a lot, awesome job :)

Sounds and overall feel were really nice, I like what you did with the death animations!

Agreed with others: something wrong with controls.. Sometimes he would go by himself..
And sometimes I would be stuck in textures.

The Idea was fun :)

It's an input polling issue and totally my fault that I didn't catch it before submissions, but the auto-move bug happens almost constantly in Chrome and Edge, and I didn't catch it because I only use Firefox. If you can, use Firefox as the bug only happens in very specific scenarios (defocusing the game window while walking) and can be undone somewhat reliably. I left a note about the issue at the top of the description.

My bad

Edit: Miz gave the greenlight to upload fixes for gamebreaking issues so I've gone ahead and done that.

The controls are so weird ahah.

there's something you can do with the massive recoil gun.

Just need to fix controls a bit ^^

Overall, good game.  Not the most creative use of the assets, but the game-play itself  and the controls are good. It's a good concept. Continue working on it after the game jam

You played around with this idea really well, there was a pretty good amount of content and a lot of good little puzzles. There is a lot of potential for cool boss fights with this mechanic/ I feel like taking damage when you ricochet into a wall was kind of unfun, especially with only 2 hits to die, but it was fine due to the permadeath enemies. Could be turned into a fun little indie game with a little tweaking.

I'm confused about the control but i like the concept of the game.
