For your first jam game this is pretty nice! It reminds me of old school RPG’s like Ys and Hydlide. Only thing that was missing was some catchy music and sound effects. Great job!

Pretty well done.  The "Attack the Option" menu was a nice touch.

It's a great start and basis for game, but I did miss some elements like combat/puzzles and music.
I liked the in-game menu and credits though, that was neat!

Developer

Thank you so much for the feedback! This is my first game jam and I am really happy with the result. I might expand this into a full complete release. I'm open to any suggestions. Thanks again!

The game was good. But things that were missing or not clear:

1)No health bar system was there so I never knew how much health i had.

2)Enemy AI was weird they were randomly moving around and not even doing damage to me.

3)The arrows were the only thing that damaged me.

4)I could push the box for only 2 tiles I think and I didnt enjoy that.I don't know if u were making a puzzle game with this but I could guide you through some main top down puzzle mechanics. As i have made many puzzle games myself.

Developer

Thank you for playing! I didn't have time to implement the health bar or proper enemy AI. The enemies will damage you and knock you back if they move onto the grid square that you are on.

Developer

Sorry about not reading these comments. Just found out about this today! I was reading the comments on the itch.io page.

Fun game! Not sure if there was suppose to be sound, but it felt like something was missing.

Developer

Thanks for playing! I didn't have enough time to implement the sounds for this jam. I'm considering  expanding on this game, so there might be a more complete version! (probably with a different title)

that was nice

Thanks!

With some more challeenging levels more focused in puzzlles could be a good puzzlle game. Have potential.

Developer(+1)

Any ideas on how to make the levels more challenging? Thanks!

Submitted

More challenging i don't know but in relation to puzzlles you could gime more importane to the pushing box mechanics, making levels where you can't really passs without arranjing the boxes, something sokoban related maybe

Nice game! Really liked the knight attacking animation. Do the enemies fight back though?

Developer

The enemies will fight back if they move into you and you will be knocked back. I tried to have some more 'intelligent' enemies, but I couldn't get the code to work as I am still learning the basics of unity. Thank you for playing!

This world / game is amazing it's really well made the animation are very slick and stylish and surprisingly well made for the restrictions. The only thing I think could be improved is adding a soundtrack but besides that amazing game and well done.

Developer

Thank you so much! I will probably be remaking this game with more mechanics, levels, smarter enemies, and of course, audio.

Well done, nice world! Could use some incentive for killing monsters - I just ran past many of them.

Developer

Should I have the player get gold that can be used to purchase upgrades? Thanks for the comment!

Looks nice but I didn't really like that you couldn't hold down a movement button to continously move when the game didn't turn out to be turn-based. I absolutely loved the attack animation-swirl.

Developer

Sorry about the difficult controls. If I make a more complete version of this game, I will have the player able to hold down the arrow keys to move. I'm not sure if I will make it turn based though, but it could happen!
