I really enjoy the concept of this game! The moveset of each character is very creative (gave me a little chuckle), the enemies are in theme with the cyclothon (very clever, with how they relate to the actual cyclothon), and all around, it's a fun game. I really think you should continue working on this. Would absolutely love a fully polished product.

I will say a few things though. Firstly, the objective of the game could be made more clear (unless you intended for it to be "knowledge-based"). Also, there is a point where you spawn, in the beginning, that you can fall off the map. The music is a bit repetitive, but that's alright.

Amazing work. If game design is your passion, I feel that you should most definitely pursue it. Or, at least, make it a hobby ;)

Ah dang, I wanted to play this one but I need C++ runtime. I am not an admin on my PC so I can't install it either :(

Nice little RPG !

Appart from the encounter rate problem, I think a map would have been nice, I dont have a very good sense of direction it seems :')

its a cool little RPG system, as the comments said below alot of encounters. I like the use of 2d and 3d sprites.

Fun little RPG, encounter rate was very high though. loved the flavour in the moves, and my connor was turned around backwards in battle so it looked like he was just not interested in the enemies lol.

Developer

Yeah, that seems to be the common consensus on encounter rate haha. I don't even know how Connor ended up facing the wrong way lol. I know I rotated him, maybe it didn't save the level right. Let's just put it up to Connor is to Chad and doesn't find them a threat haha. Thanks for playing and for the feedback!

This game paints a very unflattering picture of random Japanese pedestrians, lol. Too many random encounters, but it was fun anyway. Take THAT, Joey!

Developer

Haha yeah, I intended for more than just the same guy, but had no time to fit it in. The  original random encounter rate was shorter time than current haha, so that would have made it feel worse.  I talked about it in other comments that I was even going to remove it but didn't want to waste the time spent on it haha. Thanks for feedback.

fun enemy designs, couldnt find pete :(

Pretty neat!
I think it could be better without random encounters and with enemies "blocking" paths so you only have to defeat them once with a bigger challenge!

Developer

Nearing the end I did think to myself if I should have done something like that or removed anything but final fight, but feel It would have wasted the time spent on the battle system for only one fight haha. I didn't have time to balance it properly as well haha. Thanks for the feedback.

Really fun, loved the style and the enemy design. Could NOT figure out what to do even after finding Garnt and Pete. They said something about a vending machine with stuff in it and up on a hill but I couldn't find anything. Fun game though!

Developer

I guess I should have explained receiving items better haha. Thanks for the feedback.
