Oh my God I could play this for HOURS. The puzzle design is so solid, the controls are perfect, it's so satisfying to watch Connor zip by at the end - this is actually perfect. I can't believe you made this in two days. I'm flabbergasted.
I've only ranked half the games so far but this is in contention for the #1 entry in the jam, no question.
I like the music and the low-pressure game, but it would have been nice for it to at least keep track of my record of how many bananas I picked up so I could try and beat my score next time. For something made in one day by a solo dev it could be a LOT worse, though, and I appreciate that there was an end to the level rather than it going on forever.
Very creative to use the weather/news cycle instead of bicycle as your theme interpretation! I wish there was a button to do a quick switch between tools, and also that Connor wouldn't talk over my map and cover icons I need to see! But other than that it was 100% really fun, felt like an expanded Warioware minigame - in a good way! Art is great, too.
Oh, and I wish the music sounded a bit more like a news/weather report theme, but it was a good track so I'm not mad about it.
The art in this one is fantastic, and it's a ton of fun to play! The audio isn't the best - those bike bells are really loud and the music is repetitive - but that's the only thing that really lets down this game, it's otherwise great.
Making me beat Cinnamoroll to death every level is very cruel, though.
That was incredibly good. Made me want to play cult of the lamb again. Looked and sounded awesome.
I'd probably just forego the reloading mechanic entirely, while I was playing I just sort of waited for the next gun to cycle in because it would arrive with a full clip and reloading wasn't super immediate and took some time. When the weapons cycle that frequently reloading never felt worth it.
Really fantastic and unique feeling game though, I loved playing that.
The vibe is really fantastic, I like the approach of making it a really relaxing feeling game. Agree that the sprint should be a bit longer, and might want to remap the F key to pick up packages to something else (having that do double duty with getting on/off the bike felt a bit fiddly usually). Loved riding around though!
Visually stunning. The crayon art is really charming, animations and characters are adorable, and the music is cheerful and calming. There's a few of these types of games in the jam but this one wins for sheer style.
The cars seem a little unfair in terms of how quickly they appear, I wish there was an audio cue or something so you even had a shot at avoiding them. I tried to get the achievements and they are brutally hard - mostly because there's just no avoiding those cars!
The controller was really fun, I had a great time moving around in the space. The most fun sections were definitely at the beginning when you're doing high speed platforming vs the end where you're doing a lot of slower precision platforming. Also really liked the audio volume/speed ramping up with the character. Great feeling demo, well done!
Amazing vibe, loved the last level with all the callbacks. It was really sweet and I hope Connor gets to see this one. Gorgeous music. Once the jam is over please reupload with that booster pad fixed so we can see the second level!
(I actually liked the concept of the second level the most because the movement is so speedy and it was fun zooming around in a big open space)
Anyway this is my favourite game of the jam I've seen so far very well done (and we've rated ~15 of them so far)
I like the streaming theme, and the OBS-style menu is really cute, especially the BRB screen in the pause menu. Movement feels pretty sluggish and visuals struggled to load a little, but particularly considering you made the majority of the art during the jam, it was quite impressive to look at.
