Interesting game! I included it in my Movie Game Jam compilation video series, if you’d like to check it out! :)
(Sorry for Late Feedback but Feedback is Feedback I guess?) The game is atmospheric but so confusing because of the fog. I played for 20 minutes and gave up cause I couldn't find the stairs. I think you could easily fix this by providing an optional minimap to players. Especially one that fits over the screen transparently to not take away from the amazing atmosphere you three created!
Anyway one thing I do want to mention is I'm going to make a Game Jam Spotlight Video on my favorite games from this jam on my Game Design Analysis Channel Etra Games in a few days! So here's a shameless plug to my Youtube channel if you want to be notified of when the video releases! :

Sorry wrong link I updated the post with the correct link!
Made Guy's Top 5:
Really gorgeous game and audio - particularly in the time permitted.
I loved Blade Runner 2049, and you really nailed the atmospheric feel of Las Vegas as it was depicted.
Hope you don't mind the term "Walking Simulator" - but this was a really good one - right up to the surprising ending!
Congrats and good luck! :D
Stunning entry, well done. I particularly love the graphics of the recordings, those are super cool. By the way, after I turned the power on there were some giant projection screens outside the casino, but they were all that 'missing material' pink (mac build).
Hi ! Thank you, I learned a lot from your tutorials.
I don't have a mac so I couldn't test it sorry. It seems that mac doesn't support geometry shaders (that's probably why those materials don't work).
I love that aesthetic and that kind of games, like Kairo, Antichamber or Neon Struct, where wandering is gratified. Love how the music fits the mood and its availability on soundcloud. My keyboard and I love that it's not WASD only. So I can smell a winner here. My only complain: couldn't take screenshots by pressing F12 ;)
Very atmospheric, due to both the art and the music - it really captures the aesthetic of the movie well, and I sure did like that movie's aesthetic!
I'm not really sure if I was supposed to be getting something specific from the holographic scenes or if they were just for flavour. I liked the look of them and the glitchyness, and the suggestion of activity that they created - the bust in the tunnel was probably the easiest to read.
I had a bit of a problem the first time I played - the lift in the casino didn't trigger, and then I found the switch and that didn't trigger, so I wasn't even sure it was a thing at all. Somebody mentioned a switch in the comments so I figured I had missed something in the casino and tried again, and this time I got the message and was able to finish the game. Just a minor hiccup anyway.
Overall, a really great mood-piece.
Hi, thanks for your feedback. Yeah you're supposed to trigger the text in the casino in order to be able to go to the next stage. You need to get close to the elevator in order to do that. Normally you're not supposed to be able to see in the metro if you've not trigger the casino scene.
I will look into how to make this kind of thing better in the future, thank you !
A beautiful entry
I loved the art direction - I think you got the level of minimalist detail in the environments just right, and the fog effect/outline shaders were really nice. My game locked up for a bit when i got to the switch and the environments started showing their non-orange selves which I wasn't sure if was intentional at the time since it seemed to go against the art direction otherwise. But nice job anyway - I think the art coupled with the synth music created a great sense of atmosphere.
Small bug: playing windowed on a two-monitor setup, the mouse sensitivity was far too low and I found myself having to swipe multiple times to move the camera where I wanted to look.
My only real suggestion for improvement - I think the level design could be restructured to be a little more guided. I understand wanting to create a more open-feeling world but at the start I got lost while looking around before I finally made it to the casino. Reducing the number of alleyways or having more lights/points of interest guiding you in the right direction might help, though I don't have the greatest experience with 3D level design so take my words with a grain of salt. Great job anyway :)
Thank you for your feedback ! :)
overall a very unique experience. visually amazing. like the music in the casino also. would have liked to see more sound effects and environmental noises. really stands out amoung the other games I have played so far.
Great visuals! I got lost a few times :P but loved it :)
Looks and sounds great, I like the concept, but at first roamed around all the map (including casino or metro station) without knowing what to do, until I triggered the plaza one and from this point to the end went perfect. Great job, guys!
The concept is stunning, I love the visuals and the music... it's just great!
The controls are a bit confusing (to walk forward I must press Z for example), I don't know if this is part of the mechanics...
Very well done guys!
Hi, thanks for the feedback!
For the controls, we're using the french keyboard layout (ZQSD instead of WASD). The default is now WASD.
Hahaha, ok, ok ;)
