This was a nice and simple platformer with a near mechanic added. I liked it!
Judged for the "Judges Choice" award on a Livestream from Thursday 25th. Link to vod: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/962477700 Timestamp: 22:00
Amazing! Great to see someone play my game on a stream. Sorry I missed the live event.
Boop~! Boop~! Zwooop~!! Boop~! Boop~! Zwooop~~! Boop!
This was a great game! I got to the blank white screen, which I take as meaning the end of the game and a win ᕦ(⚆Ѡ⚆)ᕥ I really enjoyed it! Great job! (☆ω☆*)
Well done! You are right, the white scrren is where it ends. I didn't have any time left to finish the game properly.
Decent game, I liked the gravity reverse and most of the level design. I'd suggest coyote time in the future, some jumps I felt like I should have been able to make, also didn't even bother with the last level lol, nice work overall though!
Thanks, I might try to implement coyote time :) The game engine is very simple, so lots of improvements are possible.
it was cool and had a really simple art style and the levels were designed pretty well
Happy you like it. The levels could be improved of course.
Platformers with gravity mechanics are fun, and it's impressive that you made this without using a pre-made engine! There was some solid level design, although the last level felt like it was a bit tedious since it was so big, and had so many things to (slowly) collect at the bottom. The controls took a moment for me to click, and in hindsight I wonder if having dedicated buttons for gravity swap and jump would work better. Overall had a fun time beating it though, and I gotta say, the title "OK DECAY" is really great
Thanks for your comments! I didn't change much from the original game mechanics, only the gravity reverse. I agree that the title is probably the best part of the game (not an insignificant part). The last level is tedious, I agree. Wish I had time to work more on this. And yeah, lots of remarks on the controls, I guess they could be improved.
It’s a small but enjoyable game, it confuses you at first but you get better at it
Happy you like my small game (only 14 kb). Practice makes perfect!
Simple but I enjoyed it! Only suggestion is maybe have 2 different buttons for reverse gravity and jump, I found it a little hard to keep track of especially in the harder levels
Thanks, I will consider this.
Cool game. I think it's a bit confusing that the controls get inverted once you flip gravity, specially the gravity flip input. The jump input can make sense to be flipped, but since "down" to flip gravity doesnt really have anything to do with your character positioning I would often flip the gravity when I wanted to jump and vise versa.
Nice game tho.
Thank you! I just wanted to try out if the controls worked, but based on the feed-back they didn't.
the difficulty curve feels a little off, it suddenly gets really hard, the controls feel great tho
Thanks for playing! When did it get too hard?
the level with like 40 collectables just seemed a bit too tedious for me
Ha ha, sorry about that.
