How does your game apply the limitation and theme?
The game is about warding off tooth decay by brushing a set of teeth, brushing teeth being the mundane task as the core loop

I liked it.
I survived for 240 sec, but then I felt it was getting kinda repetitive.
The idea was great , tho. =)
Congrats!
A mundane task indeed, lol. Yea, the character movement was a bit weird. Overall though, good job!
Nice take on the theme! I'm not sure about the movement mechanics though. I get that the player is a tooth fairy, but the way flying kind of toggles gravity was a bit off. Maybe a better way to implement flying would be to give the character multiple floaty jumps? Overall a good idea though, and I really liked the animations, especially the brushing one.
Ooh floaty jumps is a good idea. I was originally planning to have upper teeth too which would have required long times in the air but given I didn't get the chance to implement that the jumps would work well :)
Cute game and good music, I like a lasso/whip tooth floss lol (๑╹ڡ╹)
Cool idea and nice character art !
The controls were a bit strange but the game was fun to play. great entry.
Love the elevator music. Always wanted to be a tooth fairy. Controls could be better.
Very fun game and good animations, but movement don't fell good.
First of all I loved the teeth brushing animation, that looks great. The difficulty curve does drop off after a couple teeth fall out, maybe if the decay sped up with less teeth, might've fixed the difficulty balancing. I see you attempted some complex movement too, which is hard to get right but you made it work. Also great use of the theme!
Thank you! Yeah I realized late in development that I didn't really have a win or lose condition and didn't quite have time to implement it, so I just threw on the survival timer to add some feeling of achievement. If I was gonna development further I'd definitely either increase decay rate as the teeth fall out, or just have a flat loss once a certain number are gone.
You really did well with using the theme! Good idea, the only thing I would mention is the controls didn't feel smooth or natural. It took me a while to get the hang of
Thanks for the feedback! I was wondering if you had any specific advice as for how to improve the controls? I was aiming to make the flying mechanic a little challenging to add difficulty to the game, but I know challenging can sometimes translate to unintuitive so would love to hear your thoughts.
I feel like the music doesn't really fit the spirit of the game, the controls also feel somewhat clunky
I see this is your first game you published, and I'd love to see your next one, I bet it will be better
Thanks for the feedback! I was kind of going for a dentist waiting room vibe with the music but also was running out of time so wasn't able to search for that perfect track as much as I would've liked. Any specific advice for improving the controls?
having jump / fly on w or up feels weird, and it sucks how it stops your horizontal movement, I'd suggest putting it on space instead and trying to make sure the horizontal movement stays the way it was
Aah, space would have been better you're right. I had it stop your horizontal movement to add some challenge to maneuvering between the teeth but if it feels clunky I'll consider removing that for any post jam updates I do. Thanks again!
