I'm amazed by how you managed to pack so many actions to the limited buttons of the NES controller. It took me a while to understand everything, but I managed to craft a couple things before the difficulty curve could overwhelm me.

The NES feel is totally there. The graphics and music are awesome, like straight out taken from an actual NES game. The gameplay also had its moments. For example, a couple times the turrets were hitting zombies and launching them over my defense walls. It was hilarious because I can 100% see that happening in an NES game.

The only issue I ran into is that at some point I crafted so many things that some of them dissapeared.

I would have liked that it was longer, the game has a lot of potential.

So much thanks for playing and giving feedback :D glad you liked the game. That's right, I forgot to do something about having too many items lol.

I would like to work further on the game too.

That was pretty awesome!! I played a good 10 minutes and then died to a bat lol. I'm not sure if there was a win condition or not, but I definitely had a good time and felt like I had my fill after the game over :)

Really impressive amount of systems added into the game! Everything felt really authentic, like the transition when you enter/exit crafting how it loads in blocks across the screen. Really well done. Definitely a bit cumbersome to use the NES controls for menus! Makes you appreciate the modern comforts of mouse and keyboard controls like in Terraria. But you did a really good job translating it to the four button schema.

Amazing work! Here was my playthrough:

Thanks ! And there is indeed a win condition, during the 6th night the Necromancer appears (which you can see in the main menu) and you have to beat him. You were almost there !

Damn bats ! They actually turned out more tanky than intended so they can be a bit hard to deal with for sure. I definitely would recommend crafting a sword as early as you can to make the fights easier.

Hi, so much thanks for playing! We never found out why the first hit doesn't affect bats at all, they're a little annoying. Thanks for recording a video, I love the tiny house you did at the world border, thats why i did the buiding system.

Very fun game, turrets go brrrr. Pacing feels good, doesn't overstay it's welcome but long enough to get accustomed to the controls and gameplay loop. Didn't know what to expect from a survival crafter NES style game but this was a lot of fun, nice one!

Thanks a lot for playing :)

Honestly, a 10/10 game. A nice fusion of wave survival and crafting all neatly tied up in the NES format. The key bindings take a little getting used to, but after that, it's honestly perfect. Well done!

"The kingdom's heart begins to light!" The ending music is nice.

The game is great. I'm so out of the loop of this kind of game that I had to die once before I finally understood the Craft table thing, I had seen the sword and pick in the screenshots and could not figure out how to get those myself and wondered how I could use the materials from the top row. Then I had a lot of fun playing. The game looks, sounds and feels perfectly like a NES game, and I mean a good looking and good sounding one. It's fun to play, it's not super hard but enough to be fun with the bats coming from the sky and such. Finally I thought the necromancer came exactly at the right time and he's definitely a threat, I could have died weren't some enemies to get back some hearts close by so it was satisfying to beat it.

Thanks a lot for your message !
And it's really appreciated that you took the time to figure out the crafting mechanics (it would be more intuitive to play on a NES gamepad for sure) and beat the game.
