How does your game fit/incorporate the theme of the game jam?
I interpreted "fragments of the past" as "memories" and wanted to incorporate the idea of remembering past abilities to perform new actions. The game allows the player to attempt to recall past events related to each enemy (Which use real quotes from Neuro-sama streams). Using these fragments, which in this case, are words (fragments of speech), the player can create new actions by combining words into phrases, such as [Really][Big][Sword].

Really creative game! I liked the way you can extend your deck, but then a wild gymbag stopped my first run.

pretty creative idea! i like using the words to construct actions and defeat enemies. would love some new words though! maybe even some deckbuilding in the future? it's pretty fun, good job!

Yeah I definitely intended more deckbuilding elements, I wanted a system for choosing some words to keep from the words you remember from holding space, but right now you just keep them all.  Thanks for playing!

This is my first time seeing a system of fragments of speech like that, did you have a specific inspiration? I think it's a really interesting gameplay mechanic, I want to see more of it xDD

Mostly I was trying to come up with an interesting thing that Neuro could play, and thought a game where she could build her own actions would be cool. Not sure how well it would work with Neuro after finishing it though, I have a feeling she'd try to play a lot of invalid actions according to the rules and lose a lot of time. Thanks though, I'll definitely be updating it after the jam finishes at least to fix the bugs ;-;

I really liked the game,
I had issue with reset, I went to the next stage with 0 hp, and it started reset loop.

The game was fun, deck bloat and the healing bugs really caused quite the panic during my runs. I swear the gymbag is just a wall. - Igglyn

Really fun, good music, cool art, awesome game overall, just wish ennemy shields got nerfed, on turns where they are shielded, if they are not preparing an attack and you're already full health, there's no point in using any words, so it's just a wasted turn :c
