one of the best games in the jam that encapsulates the theme, rivaled only by Left Behind. extremely clever and creative with fun mechanics and cool aesthetics. more people should play this!

very chill and fun game! good job!

cool idea! i like the move and shoot mechanics that leave a remnant behind, blocking paths and keeping things fresh. the mix of 2d and 3d is amazing and very well-executed, love the cutscenes. good job!

a very strong submission! i like it very much. the art is amazing too. it's easy to grasp and fun to play.  good job!

pretty creative idea! i like using the words to construct actions and defeat enemies. would love some new words though! maybe even some deckbuilding in the future? it's pretty fun, good job!

pretty fun card game! i like the style and allowing the player to select weapons of choice. the time switch introduced some interesting gameplay. good job!

amazing artwork and sprites! good heartwarming story and solid TD mechanics. had lots fun with it. good job!

i think it's a creative idea for an educational game but the implementation needs work: the movement, platforming, interactions all don't feel so good to control. with that said, there are many mini-games and it's quite interesting to play. i did enjoy going through different time periods and themes. i also love that there is an option to kill the teacher, which i find to be hilarious. good job!

really cool, love the sprites! it's quite fun and i like the mechanic of shooting them down before jumping on them. it's a nice choice to have the drone separate from neuro too, makes things fresh and interesting. good job!

extremely creative! probably the #1 best game in the jam in terms of mechanics and creativity. finished the game to the cake and had lots of fun. being able to achieve all this in such a short time is simply amazing, it's really well-made! excellent work!

very cute, love the 3d models and animations! gameplay loop is fun, i enjoyed it. like the calm and adorable music cover of LIFE too. a lot of it is very well-executed. good job!

very cute! looks great and love the sprites. it's fun to play and the powerups are cool. good job!

cool game with a nice atmosphere! the 3d models are cute! i loved jumping on rooftops and stuff, it feels great. the game is fun but could probably use some spicing up rather than just moving around and looking for items. good job!

i tried this on another pc and managed to play it. really love the art and it's super charming! it's a nice story and i like adventure games like these. it must have taken a lot of effort to draw all the scenes and animations, high praise for that. excellent work!

cute beat-em-up game! love that you put in a second ally that helps you out, it really adds to the game. the sprites look really cute and i like the feel of it. good job!

you're right! i do find the clone weird to use as well. i hope to change this in the future, maybe introduce dead NPCs and shift the game towards murder mystery or something, just some random ideas. thanks for the input, the clues definitely could use some balancing!

thanks for letting me know! indeed i do agree that the remnants are weird to use, i'm thinking of moving that mechanic to NPCs so there's like dead NPCs and maybe shift the game more towards murder mystery? just some ideas 😄 and unfortunately the South thing is a bug, i'll try to fix it in the future!

amazing visuals with well-drawn sprites! played it on an emulator (sameboy). love the artstyle. the story and dialogue was cute and funny too. quite impressive to see many different dialogues. unfortunate that it is incomplete cuz the concept of planning different schedules and have it play out seems like it'd be a cool VN. nonetheless, i enjoyed it, great job!

pretty creative twist to mazes! i think it's a fun balance for the memorization, there are definitely some parts i still have to memorize even with the candle light as guides which makes it interesting to play. great job!

this is pretty fun! i completed it and enjoyed the experience. it's very cool and the shield feels awesome. the atmosphere is great too. good job!

i love the dice rolls and it seems like the beginning of something really cool. making a RPG system like this for a 3-day game jam is definitely too ambitious in my opinion. unfortunate that it wasn't finished but i did enjoy walking around talking to the mirror, evil and miyune. good job!

very interesting idea! i had fun killing them ghosts but it's too punishing. ya can't just take away my shields in the final boss just because i didn't move in the first second, then make me start over from the beginning, come on now. i do think it's impressive that you managed to implement a rhythm + combat game like this in such a short time. good job!

nice short story! i do appreciate the walking and art to set the stage, it adds to the experience and atmosphere but wished there was more to it. good job!

creative and funny title screen! it plays pretty well and i like that the theme is incorporated into the projectiles to be dodged. i do think the segments are a bit too long because there is not much variety in the bullet hell patterns. i had fun and appreciated the good ideas all around. good job!

that's crazy 🐢 not sure if this is accurate but there are 44 items for Evil to choose from, and you need to spawn in the correct room on turn 1 so 1/44 * 1/16 = 0.142% chance. pretty lucky!

thanks for letting me know! Evil has 6 turns to move and hide vedal before the start of the game (this is not shown to the player), and if she moves through a NPC space they will report where she came from or went to. so if she went South but there is no more space, then it means they reported it wrong, it is a bug! i'll try to fix it in the future!

fun adventure! i like the implementation of the game and feels like mini-turnbased rpg combat. it's pretty barebones but it looks good and plays alright, i had some fun. good job!

pretty cool style and execution, with a good mix of fun mini-games. it gives a trippy experience, which is impressive. good job!

nice puzzle game! love the switches and design of the levels, it's pretty fun to play. good job!

completed the levels, very well executed puzzle game! it does feel a little slow to move and there's alot of repetition in the last puzzle but it's quite enjoyable to play. i like the idea that your past self and evil can obstruct you or cause paradoxes, and the rewind function is great. cool idea with strong ties to the theme. good job!

love the dialogue! there's a lot of charm to it and it's cool to see the effects of the item on the characters. it's pretty fun to play around with. the drawings are cute too, good job!

extremely fun, the best submission so far in terms of gameplay. the different outcomes and interactions in the events depending on who is in your party is also incredible.  i think a game like this is perfect for Neuro SDK, it's replayable, turn-based with some decision-making, and with further polish it can be outright amazing. i enjoyed it very much, excellent work!

aww that's so cute! love the tie-in to the theme with the past with some nice mini-games. good job!

very interesting idea! being able to drag any word around and save it for a different time scrubbing the video is pretty cool. it's a fun little word hunt, controls feel intuitive. good job!

i love card games! i beat the game and destroyed neuro/evil. it's quite impressive because card interactions can be very tricky to implement in such a short time especially when you even have a deck builder, very ambitious! i love the idea and i think it could be quite awesome.

Bugs Encountered

  • enemy vedal randomly gets bonus attack for no reason, that's just straight up cheatin
  • anny's flip condition is to take damage twice, but she can flip after just taking damage once

Other Problems

  • game is basically decided via deck-building as there is no room for decision-making in the duel with only 3 cards in hand and 1 draw per turn. there's no way to unequip weapons and items
  • the deckbuilder doesn't have a preview for the cards, so i had to memorize what they did when i was in game
  • no button to quit back to main menu during the duel, i am forced to win or lose before i can go back

anyways, i enjoyed the game, so good job!

cute art! pretty cool idea and feels nice to explore. wish there was more gameplay. good job!

i shot some aliens and picked up a gun. it feels alright, but seems incomplete. anyways, good job!

it's fun but lacking in content! i like the enemy encounters and card system. good job!

cool game! love the art and story. good job!

very creative idea! the gameplay can be polished more, there are collision issues when there are many neuros. drawings are cute! good job!
