Whoa! What an awesome gamejam gam! The artwork and vibe you were able to create is great! Music and sunset theme really made me feel like I was playing an 80s action movie. Really enjoyed the mechanic, too. The fact that you didn't control the aim was nice. I will say, I found it a little bit too hard. The jumps felt slower than I thought they should be, and I often found myself in situations I couldn't get out of. Overall though, wow, I'm really impressed. Fantastic one mechanic game!
Thank you so much! I definitely fumbled the "dodging" aspect of the game. Haha. As far as the jump speed I think I will (in the future) make it optional to adjust the speed. On one hand faster jumps means you can quickly bunny hop between bullets, but that also means you have less hang time if you need to get over a group of bullets. I think it could be cool to have it in a menu where you can change different aspects of the bike that increase or decrease other elements. Actually thinking about it, I bet it would be cool if at the beginning you have an ability count like in RPGs where you get 5 total stars that you split between different advantages like overall speed, jump height, shoot speed, ect. Anywho, Thank you so much! :D
Yeah that would be cool to make some RPG elements out of it. Maybe have some different themed levels and what not while you are at it :) really good job!
First off I love the choice of vibe and aesthetic. This totally reminded me of the balanced challenge and style of Metal Slug (one of my favorites). However this one has a flavor of it's own. I love the quality poured into this. Collisions are great and the difficulty is just right. I loved it!!!
Thank you so much for the kind words! It does kinda have a bit of that metal slug vibe now that you mention it. Haha. Glad you enjoyed it! I always try to opt for style over deep gameplay typically for small projects. Helps me keep my scope moderate. :D
thank you! Yeah I definitely plan to expand the road. The whole time I was making it I kept thinking about it but didnt end up doing it as it would have taken a chunk of time to re position all of the background elements and code. Always trust your gut!! Anywho thank you so much for the kind words!
Wow this is nice! The street is a bit narrow. I really love the automated shooting and the music pitch when you take a hit !! Nice neon-outrun vibes :)
thank! Yeah I mentioned it in other comments but I kept convincing myself the road was fine and that it would take too long to adjust. Feedback loop!!! Dangerous. Haha. Thank you again though! Glad you liked it! :D
Very clever take on recycle! I enjoyed the difficulty, although the limitation of the width of the road felt a bit too thin to maneuver at times. I love how much style that this entry exudes. Good work!
thanks! Yeah...um...recycle....I..uh.. definitely added that. Lol. Nah I just went more for the "one mechanic" idea. Glad you enjoyed it! :D yeah I thought about the road being to small of an area for a bullet hell the whole way through. Should have widened it for sure. Will probably do a post mortem update with some fixes after some critique. :)
Wow! Incredible the amount of polish you've been able to pack into this. I love the theming, I love the music, I love the simple and fun gameplay. Well done!
Thanks! Yeah, I figured it fit with the "One" mechanic also. If you had to aim and shoot on top of move the character I think that would classify as 2 different mechanics. haha. Glad you enjoyed it! :)

Most definitely!
Great! I love the aesthetic, especially the music and SFX!
At first it felt a little bit like the vertical movement was a bit too restricted, and the controls could do with a teeny bit of ease-in and out.
Great job!
Thanks! Yeah definitely need to expand the play area. I will definitely add some easing! I was on the fence about it anyway. Ha.

Really nice art style, music and overall theme! The street is a bit too small imo but everyone else already said that aswell...

Thank you! :D I lean towards art direction/design typically so that means a lot! :DD Glad you enjoyed it!
This is a really polished and fun product! I like the decision to make the aiming automatic because it lets the player focus more on dodging.
