Really nice art! I agree that making a rhythm game was a good idea for a one button game jam. I do wish there was more variety in the rhythm though

I like how you have different types of guessing games to have some replayablity

Thanks. I was rushing in the last few minutes of the jam so I didn't properly test out the volume but thanks for letting me know!

Impressive number of levels!

(1 edit)

Really cool game. Nice presentation too! I like that it's randomized to keep each run different

Nice effort. I'm guessing all the hud stuff are placeholders (Next box, Level, etc)?

This is a really good looking game for being your first jam! The presentation and camera motions are really nice

I like that you changed up gimmicks of each individual level to keep the game fresh. Nice music too

I like the clean visuals and the core idea of taking animals to get different powers. I think a found a bug though; hitting R doesn't restart the level, but instead it restarts the whole game.

Really clever to make the bullets the "enemy." Also a a neat idea to make the bullets physical and move each other.

Thank you! Yeah I was wondering if anyone would think those flashing platforms would be hard on the eyes lol

Ohh ok, cuz these same assets were provided for that game jam I mentioned

Really good job! You have a nice and smooth progression of levels that teaches the players the small mechanics like being able to walk through chests and portals disappearing after a single key is used. Did you use the assets from the GDQ One Mechanic Game Jam a few days ago lol?

Awesome work! I really like that the food is randomized so it's different each game.  The chopping distance feels a little off imo; sometimes it looks like the knife is right on the food but it misses

Fun challenge! I would say that the player moves a little too fast for how small some of the safe spaces are on some platforms but this is a good foundation!

Wow, this is a really clever spin on angry birds! Really clever use of the theme and super satisfying to suck up all the cargo. Reminds me of Katamari Damacy!

Definitely keep up the passion and work. You're only 14 so you have a lot of time to grow and improve.

Fun concept! I like the grapple hook but I wish the game was a little slower so I could enjoy the grappling more. As it is now, it feels so fast that you don't really get the full feeling that you're swinging

Cool intro! Nice music as well. I like the twist that you have to enable the second ability in midair in order to progress. Nice nonlinear gameplay

I think there may be a bug? After the cutscene where the person falls into the pit, the game freezes.

Really cool premise! I had a lot of fun messing around with the chatbot and seeing what happens.

Cool art and really nice music! I noticed that the tracks switch up when one is finished so that's a cool touch.  I think the left dash and right dash button could have been consolidated into just one button that dashes you in the direction you're facing to make it simpler for the player to control.

Really fun platforming challenges! I feel like some of the levels might be a touch too difficult but I like that you kept the levels short to complement the difficulty.  Nice simple art and color palette

Clever use of the theme and incorporating it into the gameplay through use of lighting. Really nice art too!

Thanks for playing my game live! I watched the recording and I really appreciate your comments!

I actually won't be able to watch it live :(. Will there be a recording or something to watch after the stream?

Really nice of you to make this topic and post your thoughts on all the games submitted! I myself haven't been able to play all the games but it's good to know there's people like you that take the time to play through all of them and also post their thoughts.

Nice job on the level design! The teaching and progression felt smooth and solving the later puzzles was satisfying.

Wow, I was not expecting an intro as cinematic as this lol. Nice touch with the text box and character. I think a little bit of info would help the player during the actual game, ex. what the difference between the green and blue bins is.

This is a really polished and fun product! I like the decision to make the aiming automatic because it lets the player focus more on dodging.

Nice art! The mechanic used here is really cool too

Looks and feels really polished. I really like the little touches you added like the hop out of the checkpoint after dying and the expanding and shrinking of the textboxes.

I like the idea of picking up frames and switching frames to overcome different obstacles. I think this idea has a lot of potential if you decide to expand it into a bigger game.

Good variety among the levels! I really like that some levels required you to reserve ammo in order to plant trees, making some levels either a mad dash to outrun the humans or more puzzle-like.

Really interesting movement mechanic! Took me a while to get the hang of it but once it clicked it was just a matter of puzzling out where I needed to turn.
