Description
This is the main track in the game. The main musical references for this composition were the band Mogwai and the work of Akira Akira Yamaoka. The track sounds very post rock.
To produce it I used the Daw Fl Studio 20. Some instruments were made with MIDI, such as bass, drums, synths and pads. The guitar and piano was recorded directly to audio.
The imagined game is called "The cycle of memories" and would be a game focused on narrative and character development. In it, we assume the role of an entity, the guardian of memories. Our mission is to solve a problem: two different people on earth (an elderly person and a child) are living the same memories, the same life.
It would follow a more melodramatic style of gameplay, where we seek to control and interfere in the characters' decisions through a diary, making their memories separate. or unite at once

Hope you like it :)
Theme:
How does it fit the theme?
I tried to draw a parallel between memories and the seasons. Just as seasons are a cycle, I realized that memories are too. And that cycles have an end, but they are also infinite.
Perhaps childhood is like summer, old age like autumn. But everything will pass away, what's new will age, what's old will fade away and be reborn.

love it! the buildup from 1:40 to the chorus sounded amazing
Thanks!
Very nice and emotional track, good work!
Thanks!
Heavily vibing on this Akira Yamaoka feel. I listened to this several times in a row. You really captured that sense of emotion, sadness and progression so well. My favorite parts were during the climax when it went a step further at 1:56 and when you brought the drums back in at 2:48, those two moments wrapped up the sensation that I'm in a cycle, those moments where you you get caught in distant memories, only to repeat. Love it.
Thank you very much for the comment, I'm glad you liked it! Happy to see that the cycle sensation was very noticeable, as it was the intention! Thank you!
haha, take your time!
Good composition and fitting atmosphere, I think it'd fit sort of "credits" song. I'd gladly hear more of it, there are some cool melodies here that I think could expand into their own tracks.
Hey, thanks so much for the feedback!
that build-up into the more lyrical section is really awesome :o
Thanks! It's probably my favorite part tbh
I like how you use repetition to evoke the cycles of memories, while at the same time not causing the music to feel stagnant. I also like how you use the slightly out of tune piano to help convey the sense of time, moving from something that sounds old to a clear guitar and bass line that feel newer. Your drum groove is also very smooth and is very effective at setting the psychologically unsettling vibe for what sounds like an awesome idea for a game. Thanks for sharing!
Wow, thanks so much for the feedback! I appreciate the analysis and considerations! I'm glad that the track awakened in you these emotions/vibes, which were pretty much the sensations I wanted people to feel when listening to.
Really cool atmosphere and feel! The drums, guitars, and piano add to the sense of mystery around the story you made with the child and elderly person
Thanks! The sense of mystery wasn't my intention initially, but it ended up naturally sounding pretty mysterious :)
I like the powerful build-up leading to 1:57. Also I can easily imagine this being the opening track to game like Another Code or Hotel Dusk. Good Work !
Thank you very much for the opinion! This most powerful part of the track was also my favorite :) Thanks!
