Description
Stylistically somewhere between certain 70s rock and traditional surf island instrumentation. I feel it fits a course-clear or exploration style of game with a medium-fast pacing, light pirate-combat and a lot of secrets to find.

I regularly have no trouble with an initial part of a composition, but then I encounter a huge maze to map out the remainder of it. This one began with the guitar theme at the chorus section with the accompanying melody, where I worked backwards to create the series of chord progressions that I felt most tastefully beat around the bush before leading the listener to the best, most climactic part. In some ways I feel it can be easier to work backwards when dealing with chord and form progression.

This was produced and mixed in FL Studio.

How does it fit the theme?
The picture made me imagine a collection of determined explorers on their journey to an island which they're convinced is home to a legendary treasure.

This was a very fun beach-y sounding track! I really liked the main synth, and every part of your composition complimented the rest! Great job!!

I was very surprised at first, but I think that those kalimba/marimba or xylophone sounds actually gives a good starry vibe mixed with the guitar! And that spacey synth going on the chorus gives a good energy to the song.

Nice and very original submission! Congratulations for melting those genre :)

Great use of kalimbas, the combo of bell like instruments, guitars, and synths isn't something I would have thought of but you did a really good job of putting them together. The ambient beach sounds are a nice touch as well. Good Job!

Really nailed the beach vibe with that subtle reggae vamp and the plucky instruments. Kept me on my toes throughout. Sounds like a great tune for a beach workout, very motivating!

I really like your instrumentation with both the rock and the island elements. The synth melody is really cool in the chorus, especially doubled with the vibraphone. Your strength, however, lies in your guitar and drum compositional skills - this is what made this song for me. You had such great fills and smooth transitions and a strong rhythmic foundation. Thank you for sharing!

This entry is just perfect. Great composition, good-sounding instruments, good mixing, it fits the theme, it's catchy. Great work!

The textures you got out of that Mbira (?) sound are so great!!!  They add so much depth to the overall sound of the piece.  Fabulous groove to the whole thing as well - a great listen through and through.

I love this surf rock interpretation of the theme. You really nailed the vibe with the instrument choice, harmonies and melody and the production quality was also very good. Great job!

Great guitars. This definitely has and RPG beach/sea battle vibe. The walk up and down the i, bVII and bVI chords is a really strong progression for battle themes, and you executed it perfectly. The second section keeps thinks fresh with the new, longer progression, and lowering the energy for a bit. Love the various percussion instruments used. Love this track, great work!
