Description
This is my first time using itch.io or participating in a jam so I don't really know what I'm doing lol. I didn't really have an idea for a specific game in mind but the theme image made me think of exploration and adventure which I tried to convey in the first song, while the second is music for a much more tense and atmospheric environment. Finally "Wish Upon a Star" made me think of old visual novels for some reason so I tried to make a song in that style, there isn't really much cohesion but maybe there could be???

Song 1: I would love to go on an adventure to this song! The plucky string instrument making up the main melody at the beginning (dulcimer?) is beautiful and adds to the exotic nature of this piece. I think it’s really cool how the fiddle takes over this melody in the B section. The repeat is seamless and I appreciate how you give a little palette-cleansing space between the loops to allow the melody to sound fresh when it comes back in.

Song 2: This is very different and feels more like a spacey mechanical piece. I think this song and your first one could exist in the same game, but maybe they wouldn’t appear very close together. I like the sound design with the glitchy sounds. I wish I knew how to do this type of music production, but since I don’t, it’s really cool to hear people like you who can do it well!

Song 3: This song has many Kirby qualities to it that make me think this song is closest to fitting the theme. I like the groove and think this would accompany relaxed exploration in a game very well. I like your choice of instruments and think that it all works together very cohesively. These are 3 very eclectic songs but I think they are very well-made and produced. Great job on your first jam and I hope to hear more of your compositions in future jams. Thank you for sharing!

Great songs - pretty versatile trio. They all have a great sense of flow. I especially liked the Song 3's vibrant tone. Great work! Congrats on your first jam!

Great job on your first submission! It all sounded really great! I liked your first track the most I think, but all of the were well done!

Hi! Congrats on finishing your first jam here! I really enjoyed your submission, the first and third track have full 90s soundtrack vibes and I love the catchiness of the third track in particular, and track 2 awesome! I love glitchy/creepypasta-y soundtracks. Awesome job.

Awesome stuff! I love how creepy the second track is and how groovy the third track is. The melodies in the third track really hit, great job!

First and foremost, Congrats on completing your first Jam And with such fun pieces as well! I really like the variety here. I think the first track is really fun, and would suit an adventure game well. The third one really gave me some pokemon dialogue/cut scene vibes for some reason, not sure why, but I really dig it. Thanks for joining the jam, I really enjoyed listening!

Naming things is hard, I know that very well! Eh, Doesn't Hiroyuki Sawano name his tracks much the same way? ^^ All good!

Cohesion or not, these tracks are great fun, the first being my favorite as I really like that style, all the instruments dancing around each other, very nice colours.

Nice!  Loved the crunchy bass drum in song two, and the super twangy bass guitar in song 3.  All of your songs had a nice flow and progression to them, and the variety is fun!  great work overall.

Really digging the range in style between these 3 tracks. The first one sounds like it takes inspiration from folk music, the second sounds like an intense encounter with a terrifying monster, and the third sounds like it could be in the next Kirby game. Fantastic work!

I particularly enjoyed these deep basses, which in addition to atmospheric sound effects made your second song my absolute favorite.

Great job, keep it up!

I love how happy the last track is! Really cool stuff!

first one: I love that rhythm. really keeps me on my toes, that violin melody is glorious, too.

second one: creepy. the glassy sounds with the reverb.

third one: my instant favorite. Very nice voicings, harmony, and a killer catchy melody. I found myself whistling along lol.

Your tracks need actual names! Apart from this there is enough material there for a complete soundtrack in each of the three tracks. Please come back next time around and develop them some more. neat work!
