Description
This soundrack resembles blues genre, but with a steampunk or clockwork twist. I would imagine the game being similar to Borderlands franchise, but with a steampunk theme. The single track is a theme music for a workshop location, where part of the labor is done by clockwork steam powered machines, which can be heard in the track, providing some rythm.

Soundtrack was composed very vaguely using Michael McCann's Sanctuary 3 as a reference – that was the initial idea – but then increasingly shifted towards RimWorld style, which also was one of the references, some on the interenet call it the "Space Western" style/genre.

Machinery sounds are sampled from a packaging conveyor belt footage.

Digital Audio Workstation used – Cockos' REAPER DAW

Message from the artist:
Immerse yourself into the ambience and atmosphere of a steampunk workshop.

Theme:

Tick Tock...
Picture theme

How does it fit the theme?
Words Tick Tock and the picture's clocks remind of mechanical watches, which are clockwork. I decided that clockwork theme fits together well with steampunk theme, hence decided to mix them together and bring steampunk machinery rythmic sounds to life.

I really like the initial guitar panning effect. The bass and drums set up a nice groove that is accompanied nicely by the sounds of the machinery and the sound of the hammer on an anvil. The overall spacey steamy sound is cool and goes with the type of game environment you describe. The low flute toward the end gives it an extra feeling of mechanical as if the sound is coming from one of the pipes. Good job and thank you for sharing!

I encountered your submission while listening the playlist of all submissions. It simply caught my attention with it's vibe. I am a little suprised with steampunk setting, but yeah! Why not?

Really smooth, I could listen to this all day... which would probably happen to me as a kid while playing the game... :D

Thank you very much!

Love the mechanical percussion. Thought the overall mix could use more high end but it was still very chill and would lend itself nicely as a workshop theme while working in what I imagined to be an occupation sim. Kinda like Potion Craft but more Steam Punky maybe.

Interesting thoughts. Thank you for your feedback!

I hope that more folks come in and pay attention to this killer entry. I love the aggressive noisefloor, and the confident delivery of so much sonic variation. I love loved the addition of the pan flute right at the end, the texture of that final section really was the cherry on top. One of the few entries in this jam that I desperately wish was longer. Great stuff.

Aw, thanks! Such words really spark up the motivation to keep on doing music.

Absolutely lovely texture to every instrument. Top marks for quality. The general vibe was perfect too, something you can nod along with while crafting and get lost in the rhythm of the samples and bass. Really awesome job!

Thank you so much! Means a lot.

I like the space western feel you've got here! The hammer sound in the background is a great touch; really sells the steampunk aesthetic. Kinda get a dwarf-y vibe from this track as well. Great work!

Thank you, appreciate it a lot!

The track really conveys the feeling You describe You're after, and would suit that kind of scenario perfect. Good job!

The percussive sounds make a great workshop sound. I think it really evokes the place described. I'm curious to know more about what would be happening in the scene, as the melody sounds rather emotional and introspective; not exactly what I'd expect for a workshop. Thanks for making and sharing!
