The sound design here is really cool. The ticking and bike wheel chain sounds in the first track are sick! Sick Beat for Slaying Time Anomalies is a bop, and it really helps set the mood for the game. The bit of breakcore in Punctual Success was really good, I only wish it was longer! The Part Where It's Serious is a nice break of pace as well, it felt good to chill after so many high-energy tracks. Great work!
I'm really blown away by every track presented here! Soul has a very lovely moment in the middle that gave me goose bumps. Lover's Reunion was delightful and gave me Ghibli vibes throughout. Really great work on the whimsy and feelings of love. Medieval Battlefield really captures the feeling of necessary death. The finality of the track lends itself well to the story, and your singing fits really well! The Child is perfectly heart wrenching and captures the feeling of being torn very well. To Save Thy Soul captures the story at that moment perfectly. I can hear the dive the Time Keeper makes and the Lost Soul's theme intertwined making for a beautiful conclusion to the story. A Second Chance is a lovely reprise of the title theme, tying a nice bow on the whole story. Thank you for your submission, it was truly a great experience and the best submission I have heard yet. Great work! I look forward to seeing more of your compositions in the future.
I love the concept for this game! The music immediately caught my attention from stage 1 on. I loved the shop theme as well, gave me really good retro vibes. Overall, I got some serious Kirby meets Sonic vibes, and I think it fits really well with the game you've presented. Easily my favorite submission I've heard yet. Great work!!!
I really like the story you have put forth! Each track gives a dissociative, dream-like quality that makes it feel like an out of body experience. The constant ticking is a nice touch as well! I think the final track could have delivered a bit more on the feeling of relief and realizing ones dreams, but overall I really enjoyed listening. Great work!
I liked this track! Its clear that you have a good grasp on how Skyrim sounds and I think the instruments you chose worked well here. I wish the vocals got louder/were more present because it felt like they were meant to grow, but they did not. The bagpipe melody was very on point as well. Great work!
I absolutely loved this right from the first track! You nailed that early PS era vibe in both mix and instruments. Castle Iris has the perfect amount of energy and foreboding tone to convey the danger within, and Rattrapan's theme is a certified banger! Eternity Engine is a great final boss track. I really loved this! Great work!
Axes:
I really enjoyed the different tones and textures presented here. Calm, yet intriguing!
A Purple Box:
I could very easily see the game in my mind in this track. The use of grittier synths to convey the 2D space was genius! The track captures the feeling of being confused and having to learn different mechanics very well.
A Bike Can Go:
Wow, just wow! This track reminded me of what it felt like to ride a bike for the first time after failing at it day after day. It captured the feeling of wind in my hair and the nostalgia of that moment. Bravo!
Shifts and Pauses:
I think you did a wonderful job of capturing the expansion of dimensions in the game. This track in particular has a kind of 'working' mood if that makes sense..? It feels driven, yet still uncertain. I like it!
First Cigarette:
What a tender and sweet track! Blown away beyond words
Inexorable Views:
I love the sense of urgency in this track. It really feels like the player has mastered the 3rd dimension and now has to grapple with the mind-bending 4th dimension. The clock adds a lot on this track in my opinion, but I wish it was a little faster.
They Say It Flashes:
This track almost gives me Spider-Man PS4 vibes, it really feels like a race against time to save Pomet. The strings really tie this track together; I love how everything seems to soar above this constant texture. As a tuba player myself, I find myself wanting some low brass to support the trumpet as it climbs into the stratosphere.
Overall, I love your work here! I think the fact that your music brought up some old memories of mine says a lot about your ability to write compelling music. Amazing work! I look forward to your work in the future!
I liked your game! I think the use of the screen effect was done really well, it really felt like a real screen to the point where I was wondering if my screen was that smudged. I think the themes could have been used a bit more, and the hallways could have been shorter, but other than that, I had fun! Great work!
I am honestly blown away by how this game looks. The fact that this was completed in 10 days is astonishing! The sounds were satisfying and the boss's attacks were anticipated just enough to allow you to react. Kinda interesting how I have almost the same base concept, just with worse execution lol. 5/5 in every regard!
