Description
Genre: Electronic music
DAW: Fl studio 20

This track represents a hypothetical climate of tension and rivalry between 2 characters (represented by the 2 main leads, the protagonist with a rival or an enemy).

It is my very first time trying to make a "complete" song

Great effort here, with some interesting contrasts and a good overall structure. Maybe explore using additional synth/sample libraries (there are loads of great free ones, like Spitfire LABS) to add more texture and variety to your sounds. Some great stuff here, well done :)

Thank you so much for the feedback and the suggestion🙂👍

Fabulous when the drums kick in at the start, then it's obvious what the track's all about! I liek the shape of te chord sequence that comes back round. Awesome, nice one!

Thank you so much😄

Congratulations on you first serious track!!
I liked the melancholic vibe of the melody. I think that following the advice you have been given will sound even better 😄

Well done! Keep going!!!

Developer

Thanks😁👍

For the first time this is very good work! It needs little bit of volume balance fixes, but overall very nice attempt!

Developer(+1)

Yes I imagined it too, I'll do my best to improve on this. Thanks🙂

Great job for your first complete song. I liked when the main instrument would do the little glitches sometimes before notes.

Developer

thank you 🙂

Good track, I found the drums to be a bit loud though, and I didn't find much correlation to the theme of the jam. Otherwise, nice work!

Developer

Thanks for the feedback👍

Hey nice track!! I really like how the bass drop, also special mention to the end when the two instruments swap the melody as the two character you describe! Congrats for completing the song!

Developer

Thanks a lot🙂

An interesting composition, with increasing dynamics and a futuristic set of instruments? I love it!

If this is your first full-fledged composition... That's cool, man! Keep developing in the same spirit!

Developer

Thank you 😁

Really nice track, it's quite different than the rest of the submissions for this jam. I think it has a good balance between repetitiveness and variation and the composition is great, especially for a first song, but I think you should get some better sounds, there are many good free VSTs and sound libraries. For real instruments there are things like Labs and SINE Player with Layers and some other free libraries for it, Ample Guitar is quite good for a free plugin, oh and also Ample Bass. For sound design and all the electronic music stuff there's Vital, which is basically "free Serum". If you want to make similar EDM-like music you should probably learn about techniques like compression and sidechaining and other effects you can apply to your instruments. I know that for compression OTT is widely used in the EDM world (at least when it comes to free stuff), for other effects you probably can just use stock FL Studio plugins and you'll be fine

Thanks for these tips. I already have Labs as a VST and downloaded several things from it, but I'll definitely check the other plugins you mentioned me and the other advice. Thanks again :)

Oh wow! That drop into the beat was so good! Great job on this song, really well done for your first time!

Developer

Thank you 😁

For a first song, you should be incredibly proud, especially without using samples and writing all of this yourself. Great job! Keep writing :)

Developer

Thanks for the kind words. I really enjoyed doing it and will definitely do more in the future :)
