Description
These tracks were composed in Cubase, and while a great majority of the tracks were MIDI, I sought to have melodic and percussive elements come from sampled instruments that were as authentic to a true acoustic setting as possible. There is a recurring theme of C, G, F, which is a three note motif meant to signify the protagonist's mental state. It is typically most prevalent in woodwind instruments like Clarinet & Flute in the first bed, and in the darker second bed, it is found in a distorted piano to demonstrate that while the main character is still there, he/she/they are entering a different, more challenging state of being, i.e anxiety.

Theme

Inside my world

How does it fit the theme?
The two compositions fit the theme in that they were meant to portray an "internal" world of emotional state. The main bed is meant to emulate a neutral or even happy emotional state, and the second bed is meant to be associated with perhaps an antagonistic encounter in the game with a more negative emotion.

Oh yes, I like this track! It is clean and feels so happy, like a forest or an adventure! Great job.

The drums go hard, I like it! Nice job :)

I like the fight track, I love that kind of percussion.

What was the percussive tuned instrument that played real quiet in the first track? It was really cool and I want to use it!

it came in at 32 seconds.

I really liked how you leaned into the percussion.

Nice entry! The simple theme is effective and I like how it's used in both tracks and complimented by syncopated rhythms on other instruments. I think some of the instruments, like the clarinet sound very distant. Might be too much reverb on some things. Thanks for making and sharing.

After listening to both tracks, I went back and listened to the first just so I can give myself context for the first track again, and it's really clear the recurring theme you were showing.  It works super well!  Great job!

This is a really good submission, both tracks remind me of the Chrono Trigger soundtrack with their really nice choir and percussion parts! The second track is my favourite, you nailed the tense feeling, and I think the soft piano and the weird little synth sounds that come in every so often are excellent. I would have liked to read a bit more about the game world or mechanics, but other than that, great job!
