Description
The genre is Electronic
The game would be an action game about a dim and cold Neon City in the northern part of the world, where sun comes out only once in a while.
For the first track - On the Rooftops of Neon City I thought of an chase happening on the rooftops of insanely tall neon skyscrapers.
The second track - Crossfire is more of an intense fight sequence.

I used FL Studio and mostly used instruments I never worked with, trying to at least tie some similarities across the tracks (same drums and bass and some synth sounds)

Message from the artist:

I love how stylized the first track is, it really reminds me of a cyberpunk world, futuristic and kinda gloomy. The second one is on the same page, just much darker and gloomier, very cool nonetheless!

On the Rooftops of Neon City - Really like those little arps. Definitely gives it a futuristic feel. Nice little riser too. Oh nice, now you're breaking out the leads. They sound good!

Crossfire - Tickitytack tickitickiti... neat. Interesting percussive patterns. Also quite like it when the 808 drops. Especially that 808 makes me picture a battle with a relatively tanky enemy. There's a certain weight to the tune, that makes me think that it's an enemy that does massive damage, but isn't terribly fast. The faster percussions make me think that we are better at dodging than the enemy is though.

Nice!

Thank you for sharing your vision! Really love reading those

Awesome combination of sparkly and clicky textures. The lead synth sounds great against it all. Nice job!

Neon City is cool, the arpeggios in the back are cool! The beat in Crossfire reminds me of Devils Lab from FF6, and the progression is really cool with the flat 5 at the end of each bar, and then the second section is really cool and weird. Great work!

Really enjoying this overdriven 808 bass sound! Some really interesting rhythmic switchups going on in crossfire, too.

"Rooftops" sound really nice.
But I must admit "Crossfire" really gets on my nerve...  and I don't know if it's good for fighting scenes ^_^.

Good job.

I really like these tracks. Rooftops has such a smooth feel that it feels like something I'd rock with Mirror's Edge. Crossfire is awesome and reminds me of a bad guy entrance where they are talkin smack before the fight. Chock full of attitude in a super dope way.

awesome work!

Hey thank you for your feedback! Mirror's Edge was actually exactly the game that I was thinking about when making the Rooftops track, I envisioned some like industrially cold fast-paced chase/parkour experienced, and I'm glad it also resonated in that way with someone!

On the rooftops is a really cool ambient soundscape of arpeggiated synths and i can easily imagine it playing in some cutscene which pans accross a neon lit skyline at dusk.

The bass was hitting hard in Crossfire, the intensity was definitely there! It’s a personal preference thing, but since you mentioned it was for a fight sequence, I think the track could go a bit faster! :)

Developer

Thank you thank you!

I actually agree with you 100% about Crossfire being a lil faster, but it was already too late to change it haha

As others said, definitely think you nailed that cyberpunk sound! The sub bass in particular really stood out for me.

Not the only one who thought of Neon City. haha.  On the Rooftops of Neon City - a lot going on in this track, yet it never gets overwhelming. I could listen to this loop forever. Crossfire - I like how this gets progressively more intense, as if the danger is increasing. You picked some really cool instruments there. That synth that sounds like vocals is really cool.  Very nicely finished tracks. Excellent work!

Thank you so much, fellow Neon Citizen :)

This would feel right at home in a cyberpunk game! I think the progression in Crossfire is really neat, and I like the vocal sounds in there!

Hey, a fellow FL Studio user! Hi!

These tracks fit the theme perfectly and I like how they are a bit unpredictable, they make me think of a busy city. Particularly the second one. Nice entry!

Crossfire is def my favorite one of the both, it feels like a reeally hard fight sequence where you are against waves of ennemies! Moreover the drums slaps a lot in the two songs.

nice job
