Description
we collaborated with muscat audioworks to do the tracks, which mix edm, retrowave, and more synth sounds. they were made in fl studio 12 and reaper.

there are five tracks total: a menu theme, a game start tune (imagine an opening cutscene), a stage and subsequent boss theme, and then an upbeat credit roll jam. thanks for listening!

How does it fit the theme?
those synths, of course!

I really like the sounds this one had, and it felt like it was mixed really really well. All of this is just such a vibe, from the cool music to the video edit on the YouTube video, really cool stuff!

The Muscat Audioworks tracks were brilliant! The Haberchuck numbers were also very good but didn't quite seem to match the vibe of the other ones. Love the credit roll jam though. :) A lot of fun. More of an anime credits vibe. :)

Cool synths throughout, and Massive Chrome is soo cool. Random Bits has a really cool progression. The bass in the left ear in the last track is odd, but doesn't detract from the experience too much, and I can see it was just a mistake. Amazing work, definitely one of my favs!

Wow 5 great songs! I think the boss battle and the credit themes are my favorite, for very different reasons. The guitar riff combined with the wraith-like bells is super fun. And I love the upbeat bass for the happy ending, even though it snuck into the left channel at the last minute :)

Ha thank you! Pingudroid mentioned that bass and I found out that the one bass channel (I split it to zero in on highs and lows) got pushed to the left only 😑 ohhhh well. Thanks for listening!

Great job getting all of these tracks to feel cohesive and consistent! That’s a lot to do in 48 hours!

Great music! Very retro! I also like the visualizer videos you guys have at the Haberchuck Game Audio Corp. channel

A very complete soundtrack, and I love the retro arcade vibes! Such a wide palette of sounds too, while still sounding cohesive. Great colab. Had a blast listening to it! Good stereo mixing too, the soundtrack sounds great with headphones, and it fits the theme well.

My only complaint would be the panning of the bass in the credits song: panning the bass to the left is an unconventional choice and not something that I entirely vibe with, although it does give me a "retro" feel (reminds me of some songs composed in soundchips that only allowed for full left channel, full right channel or both). Besides that, I have nothing to say really. Great job!

the panning was probably me accidentally hitting a slider before exporting lol. Definitely not intentional! I don't what the hell happened. Appreciate the kind words though!

so I just listened again and there is some bass in the right, BUT I ran two bass channels to nitpick at the highs and lows instead or EQing one complete channel and I'm wondering if slid the pan (instead of the volume) slightly left on the low end when trying to adjust volumes!

No worries, such things are normal when working with such a strict time limit.

Tracks by Haberchuck sounds like perfect fit for 90s adventure game!
And those by Muscat are deep dive into club house party ^_^

Good job!

That's some great work! My favorite is Massive Chrome, the synth work is scrumptious, it reminds me of some Half Life OST + Aphex Twin. Very cool

That is a lot of output for such a little time, great work! Really feels like a complete soundtrack to a game! Random Bits is really cool with some creepy sounding motifs!

Cruise Control is my favourite here, I really like that electric piano, and the jazzy chords fit perfectly!

Love the synths you used and the sounds you achieved! Each track had its own unique vibe but the album still felt like whole. Great stuff overall, this slaps!

Menu theme: Oontz Oontz Oontz Oontz but in a lovely way! I love how pillowy (is that even a term? :D) and warm it sounds. Love the melodies!

Game Start: Such 80s on the drums! :D Great!

Stage Theme: Acid! Here we go. I'm picturing us driving on the fast lane. Adversaries and skyscrapers zipping by. Really like the distortion you put on that 303. Nice and growly.

Boss theme: This is a well done boss theme. For some reason, I'm getting a bit of a racing vibe, but also a bit of a halloween vibe for some reason. I can see why you called it digital wraith now.

A Last Embrace: All's well that ends well. Definitely a nice sendoff with some good vibes. Love the pillowy brass just bassing away in here :)

Excellent soundtrack!

Edit: Forgot to add, my favorite is probably the Menu Theme. Definitely going on my regular rotation that one!

Thanks, friend!

Gotta give it to our friend Brad who we collaborated with — he's got a great feel for those synth sounds!

Thanks for such a detailed listen, much appreciated! Glad you liked it. I agree, I think we captured a cool vibe that I couldn't have done alone
