Description
Genres: Electronic, Orchestral, Alternative rock.

Inspirations: Risk of Rain 2, Half-Life.

Dragonthing: When a stranded astronaut finds themself on a desolate planet, their only hope of survival is to befriend the only organic creature in sight: a flying, draconic alien. The game would consist of a 3D open-world explored in a third-person POV. The player would search the alien wasteland for the missing part of their spacecraft, eventually discovering the past of the planet and the origins of the great mechanical towers covering the skyline.

Track descriptions:

1. Dragonthing
Title screen, perhaps credits music as well.

2. The Wilds
The player meets the Dragonthing and explores the alien wasteland.

3. Swamplands
The player explores a watery marsh biome, meeting some docile creatures and finding remnants of civilization.

4. Beast
The player and the Dragonthing defend themselves and the swamplands from a hostile beast composed of ancient alien technology.

5. Technopolis
The player enters a fallen city of superior technology, built by the planet's former inhabitants.

6. Technocrat
The player faces the Technocrat, supposedly the last surviving denizen of this alien world. The Technocrat, consumed and maddened by technology, holds the last piece of the player's ship. The player fights to free the Technocrat from its curse and to finally go home.

Thanks for listening and please enjoy! I might not get around to replying to every comment, but all comments and feedback are greatly appreciated!

Theme

Chronicles of the Azure Sky: The White Dragon's Melody

How does it fit the theme?
Dragonthing would surround a stranded astronaut who befriends a draconic alien creature and explores a desolate home planet with their newfound friend. "Sky" and "Dragon" were the only parts of the theme that I cared to fit with this OST.

Dragonthing: Cyberpunk vibes!
The Wilds: Loving that fading bass!
Swampland: Some smooth electric piano! Very chill while foreboding at the same time.
Beast: Battle theme time! This goes hard.
Technopolis: Loving the textures here.
Technocrat: Another cool battle theme. Dark and heavy. Some dark chords that I really like.

Crazy how you got so much done in a short time! Really do feel the Risk of Rain 2 influence. Great work!

Dragonthing: Cool bass synth thingies you got there! I remember from OST Composing Jam #6 that you like your synths ;). I think this fits a title screen, but it could also fit in-game as well - for a sneaky mission of sorts perhaps.

The Wilds: I could see this fitting a wasteland theme. At first, at 0:18, I thought that was the alien-dragon communicating with us; I feel like this fits quite nicely. It feels kinda alien.

Swamplands: Simple yet effective. It is nicely slow and dark, fitting the location. I could see this fit different locations as well.

Beast: Oh yes! Fighting an electronic alien beast! This theme fits very well - the electronic synths along with the quick pace fits perfectly for an electronic beast battle. The roughness of the melodic instrumental synth thingy fits greatly too. 0:58 - 1:40 fits nicely too, like a moment to give you time to think about your actions.

Technopolis: There is that alien-dragon-communication sound again! I like that this sound has become the 'alien' sound. The slow pace and reverb-y melody give this a mysterious vibe. Nice one!

Technocrat: I'm so ready for a final battle. As I'm hearing more commonly, the final battle is actually a bit slower than the other beast battle. 2:15 is a very nice addition! And 3:13 is very saddening and has "let's finish this" vibes.

Really cool entries! Though I could see some of the early songs fit different themes as well, all songs have good quality and consistency. It took me a while to listen to them all, but that is to be expected with an entire soundtrack xD.

Thank you very much! Those synth basses are usually my favorite parts of my own works. Glad you like it!

Wow, it's really cool that you thought of different tracks for different moments in the game. I really liked it, congratulations on the work. It turned out really cool!!

This is excellent background music! I can imagine myself doing basically anything whilst listening to these!

The ROR2 influence is clear and I respect it because that game is a masterpiece.

I also love hearing more unique genres and this one is definitely super creative for the theme and it fits so well with the story you tell. (the story is Pikmin BTW, stranded on an alien planet looking for your ship parts in a post apocalyptic wasteland and you have to befriend a local alien thing to survive) Goated.

Thanks so much!

Awesome! I love the way you kept a very concrete atmosphere, while still making sure it's too same-y.

The production is great, the vibe is immaculate, and the story you created is fantastic! Great job!

Also, you commented on my submission how you felt your submission was maybe too dark, and I think that it's just the perfect amount, and you created some hella banging music!

Ayyy another Cakewalk user!! I like the genre you picked for this setting, it fits really well with the story you made. My favorite track is definitely Technocrat, especially the part with the delay synths at 13:50. Good stuff!

Can definitely hear the Risk of Rain 2 influence. The synth choices are great!
