Thank you so much for the feedback!! I really needed this, I'll try to pay more attention to the volume of high hats and cymbals next time, I also felt like they were too loud (sorry about that btw!) after listening a couple times after the jam, but it was already too late. But anyways thanks again!

Really good stuff!! Composition and mixing were very nicee. Every track was really fun and enjoyable, I never felt like they got repetitive or boring, but rather I felt like there was always something new going on! (that's a good thing) I also love the way you play with key changes, and how you manage to transition to them so smoothly. To be honest listening to this reminded me of Xenoblade and Touhou music, I really like both soundtracks, hope you don't mind the comparison though. If I had to pick a favorite track, I'd say it was Soaring in Ambition, especially the part after 1:56. Nice work again!

Ngl I listened to this on SoundCloud first but then I had to go back and watch the video out of curiosity, and WOW thank God I did, watching it was such a cool experience and it helped me get so much more inmersed in your story. While I was watching the video, I was imagining a voice narrating all the text while I read it, and the music sounded so natural alongside it too. The way you interpreted the theme is one of the most unique I've seen so far, plus I love all the little details and information you put in your story! (I personally would attend a Tune-a Fishes concert). The songs you made were very fun! And in my opinion, they all capture the vibe of the ocean very well, they all felt very underwatery (I don't know how else to put it). My personal favorites where Nonstopped Unpopped and Octo-Popper Supreme.

I can tell you put a lot of effort into this, and I can tell you it's one of the most complete entries I've seen! You should definitely feel proud of this. Hope to see you again next jam Jofes!

how do you keep making microsoft gs wavetable synth instruments sound so GOOD

This gets a 5 in creativity for that project page alone, it's so beautiful! I remember the one you made for crunchtime also had cool drawings and stuff as well. As someone else said, the guitars sound really good, for me personally I love how they sound in Acceptance. I think the tracks fit the chapters of your story very nicely! So nice work again.

Also you weren't lying about our stories being very alike damn. I've seen a few other submissions with similar plots as well, where the main character lost one of their relatives and goes looking for them.

Man you always deliver!!! I love the concept you came up with, I really enjoy games that show things through different perspectives. I love the way you handle transitions between songs and how you sometimes set up for the next track, it makes listening to your music a really cool experience. I think every track is phenomenally made, but my favorites are definitely the first and third. Nice job again! Hope to see you again in the next jam :)

Man this is perfect. There's not much i can say that hasn't been said already, you guys are awesome. I rated this 3 days ago and im still listening to some of these tracks because they are just SO GOODDDDD especially polychrome wyvern, this song feels so colorful and heavenly to me and i love it. But man both of you have such amazing composing styles, thank you guys for such an enjoyable listen

damn this SLAPS! the drums are absolutely amazing!! the part at 0:33 is just beautiful. The section from 1:05 to 1:28 was my favorite part, it gave me heavy persona 4 vibes, and i love persona 4 music.

WOW these are all BANGERS. Amazing stuff! The story and game concept are pretty cool as well!

Awesome!! I think all the songs are very well made but DAMN TRACKS 4 5 AND 7 SLAP SO HARD!!!

What a submission! I love the story you put together, all the tracks are amazingly done and they fit each part of the story very well! I love those drawings representing the corresponding sections of the game for each track too, it shows you put a lot of effort into this and it really paid off. Nice job!

Ayyy another Cakewalk user!! I like the genre you picked for this setting, it fits really well with the story you made. My favorite track is definitely Technocrat, especially the part with the delay synths at 13:50. Good stuff!

These are all such a vibe! Love the basslines, I can hear the inspiration you take from Persona music, I take some myself. Good job on this!

thank you! :)

I actually learned something with this game (I've never driven a car before) so it was cool experience!

I appreciate the feedback! I agree the whole followers thing's kinda pointless as of now, I did think about adding more stuff (such as breakable tiles that could only be broken by the stronger guys, or weight scales in which you needed to balance the followers on each side somehow) and more mechanics like this one, but I guess I ran out of time to implement them.

Thanks for the feedback and suggestion!! It's true I should've added coyote time, it would definitely make the game feel better and nicer

Thanks for the feedback! I think you're right, I definitely should've looked into adding coyote time, I myself struggle with some jumps in this game

The game looks really good! It's a shame you didn't have enough time to balance the difficulty, I would have enjoyed playing this a little more but it's just all too fast for me to handle. But the sprites look good, the audio is nice, and the mechanics are cool! And the game feels nice overall. Nice job on this!

I liked the puzzles and the concept! The mini story and dialogue was pretty nice too. It was actually pretty funny too cause in the last puzzle I actually caught myself like 2 times before I managed to catch my shadow. Nicely done!

It's a very fun concept! Though I will say it's kind of hard for me to memorize that much, but it creates a fun sense of tension once you get to the part where you don't remember where you should go next, it does remind me of minesweeper in a way (except that I don't know how to play minesweeper). At first when I got to that one room where you were first supposed to wrap around the screen I honestly thought "wait what the hell do i do now" but then I realized (and it was kind of obvious) that the only possible thing was to wrap around the screen like that! So I think that introduction of screen wrapping was a cool nice bit of game design. Nice job!

I couldn't get past 52 seconds, it gets crazy after that, but that's the fun thing about bullet hells! I love how polished this game feels, the sprites look really nice, and also the smaller details, like the little trail you leave when you walk, the sound effects, and stuff like that, it really makes the game feel nice. Well done with this one!

Thanks for the kind words! It was indeed pretty hard developing this idea, I guess I never really thought about how challenging it would be and everything it would imply. Sorry about the ai thing too, I struggle with platformer ai a lot.

I really love how you always leave a long comment like this (I remember you leaving one on my entry on the previous jam as well). It was nice reading your thoughts on my submission, seeing you notice the little details I put in my songs, and especially the way you interpreted them and associated them with the story. Thank you so much for your words again!

Hi, thanks for your words! None of these instruments were recorded, it's all midi. I used Shreddage 3 Stratus free library for kontakt for the guitar, it's probably the best free guitar I've ever used, I love it. Also you might find this interesting: the ticking sound isn't even a clock sound, I used the "guitar cut noise" from the cakewalk tts plugin! It worked surprisingly well for this.

Reading that description, if someone showed me this and told me this was a real game, I'd probably believe them, it just feels like an actual thing that existed. Plus the soundtrack is really fitting for the horror style you chose for your game, I feel like it would help create that kind of ambient. Overall a very solid submission all around, amazing work on this!

I knoww right, as I was making track 7 I was thinking "hmm... this sounds a lot like a certain persona song", and I DID play the persona games after all, so that most likely influenced me while making this soundtrack. I appreciate you keeping it real, I'll still take that comment as a compliment though. Thanks for your feedback!

Damn, these are probably the sickest drums I've heard so far. I think tracks 2, 3, and 5 are all bangers but I gotta say "A Little Over a Week" is my favorite. Also, "Your Room" gives me some persona 3 vibes. I also think all the songs fit their roles pretty well (as in what they're supposed to represent)

I'm also relistening to A Little Over a Week for like the 9th time as I write this, it slaps so hard just thought I'd emphasize that a little more.

Good stuff!

BACK WITH ANOTHER HIT!!🔥🦐 #shrimpnation

I think I screwed up the transitions on soundcloud a bit, so I'm glad to hear you noticed them! Thank you for your words!

I think this is the first time someone has told me that my work sounds professional, reading this made my day. Thank you for the kind words!!

Wow, thank you, it feels nice knowing that someone noticed those little details I added in. Thank you for your sincerity on the connection to the theme part as well, I do feel like I need to improve on that.

Not much I can say that hasn't been said already. All of the tracks sound beautiful and well crafted, the instruments/synths you used for some of them really sound star-like to me! And I have to say I love the way the piano sounds on these. Mapping Constellations was my favorite among these songs precisely because that chord progression on the piano sounds just.. amazing to me. The whole makes me feel pretty relaxed, like I'm lying in the ground looking at the stars at night. Great job for this submission!

Yo... no kidding "the magic music box" is my favorite track so far from this entire jam. I'm not proficient with music theory or anything but it feels kinda jazzy-funky to me. I think it sounds kinda romantic or so, it does make me feel very relaxed as well, listening to it made me happy. That song really stood out for me but the rest are also good, have nice progressions, sound beautiful, and fit well together. The piano parts are all sooo good as well. Really hope this makes it in the top 5 cause it deserves it imo

LETS🎂GO🚶‍♂️TEAM CAKEWALK🎂🚶‍♂️🎂🚶‍♂️

I love your style, it is very unique. All of these songs are very solid and consistent in quality, they all really feel like they complement each other! The main theme sounds like a main theme alright (and it's such a bop) but i think my favorite song is Starfall, I think it's amazing how you managed to make it fit the theme so well with the hip-hop style you used for it, and on top of that it's a banger as well. Thank you for this incredible submission.

That's awesome, ace attorney ost is some of the best music I've ever heard in a video game, so reading this makes me very happy as you could imagine. Thank you for this!

Very relaxing! Very fitting for a puzzle game too, as this will not distract the player from focusing on the actual puzzles. Well done!

Thank you, I feel honored to be compared to Pokemon music, and gen 4 on top of that! I also appreciate your feedback on the last two songs compared to the first ones, I think that as well. Also I had checked out your song yesterday, very dope guitar riff and even cooler drums, felt good to see someone else inspired by rock music.
