Description
For the prompt, 'Two Worlds', I thought of creating an ambient soundtrack for a puzzle game where there are two different versions of each level, and can be accessed by using either the left side of the brain (logical, mathematical) or the right side of the brain (creative, free-flowing). The tracks in the zip file include the Main Menu music, and both versions of the final level music, which were all made using Logic Pro X.

The Left side of the Brain track is in 4/4 time, and has a more distinct rhythm and texture, while the Right Side of the Brain track uses 5/4 compound time with polyrhythms.

Theme:

Two Worlds

How does it fit the theme?
The game idea is that there are two parallel versions of each level, but they can only be accessed and controlled by one side of the character's brain.

Really enjoyed this, especially Left Side Of Brain when the pulsing synth comes in

Thanks! I don’t usually use drum tracks, but I’m excited to continue using them in my music.

5/4 is always a plus! Nice, chill tracks!

A lovely, appropriately understated trio of tracks that I've come to expect from hearing your music. Could definitely envision these in a number of games: RPGs, puzzle games, strategy. Nice work!

Loved this atmosphere, and I can imagine this in a game as well. Always like the off-kilter feel of 5/4. Thanks for your work!

It's been too long since I heard a song that makes good use of 5/4 time, even though I must protest--why can't 5/4 time be an expression of logical rationality as well? ;)

Developer

Good point! Gives me a couple of ideas for next time I write in 5/4 :)

Nice dreamy sounscapes!
Main menu track is uplifting and it contrasts well with the other two wich are deep and atmospheric.

Really calm menu music; I like it.

Left Side is sort of intense, but not distracting-- perfect for a puzzle game.

Right Side has some spooky ambient stuff going on in the background, but the pleasant melody on top gives me the impression that the difficulty can be overcome.

Overall great work. I really appreciate your attention to detail; little touches in the background go a long way to creating atmosphere.

Thanks! I was a little worried that they were slightly too busy for a puzzle game, but I’m glad that you like them!

That's a great idea! Would love to see a game using this

great to see some time signature-y / polyrhythmic action on this jam
