Description
One fast-paced title track and one atmospheric piece. Both also have 8-bit versions which can seamlessly be switched to and from during runtime!

Artist comment:
We hope you enjoy the different atmospheres!

Theme:

Two Worlds

How does it fit the theme?
8-bit and HD versions signify two different worlds, as do the emotions that each song creates

Really like the idea of having the HD and 8-bit versions of the songs. Two really contrasting songs, both sound great.

Really enjoyed Dos Mundos, reminded me of old JRPG soundtracks while still feeling fresh and new. Great work!

Submitted

Love the 8-bit tracks! Great idea to switch between the worlds this way.

Developer

Thanks! That was my idea!

Submitted

Nice work! I like the concept of switching between the regular and 8-bit versions of the tracks.

Submitted

this is what I call quality, high quality

Love how there's an action driven piece and a more reflective one. The 8 versions are so fun too!

Submitted

really like the concept of your pieces. The contrast is really great

I like the idea of thinking "Two Worlds" as both 1) fast-paced vs atmospheric, and 2) HD vs 8-bit!

Developer

Yeah, it was because we were in a team! My teammate (BAF) had thought of doing serene vs fast-paced, while I was going for 8-bit vs HD, and with the Power of Friendship, we combined the two together :P

I like the difference in pace between the two tracks, nicely done!

This interpretation of the theme is top notch! Two genres, and two versions of each of those!

Submitted

Man, those songs had completely different vibes! It's almost like, I don't know, the theme of this jam was based around duality or something...

Developer

Wow, you're right! What a coincidence!

Both the HD and 8-bit give such a different but great feeling for both of these pieces! They feel like they could be used for totally different games and still fit right in

Developer(+2)

Thanks! Yeah, a lot of work went into making sure each version could stand on its own without just being a carbon copy of the other!

I'm loving the 8-bit version, really immersive in my imaginary game world, but the other version sounds great too.
Very impressive having two different styles that each work so well.
Dos Mundos is a bit more relentless and constant in the sound toward the beginning in the 8-bit style but also enjoy it a lot.

Developer

Thank you for your comments. Yeah, I had fixed the Dos Mundos 8-bit track, but uploaded the old one accidently. My jam partner (TheTrueDuck) said the same thing!

I really dig how this came together! Both the piano/orchestrated and chiptune versions sound very cohesive. Can be tough to make those both sound good while preserving the soul of the original track. I feel the chiptune version of Dos Mundos is a bit harsh, those long suspended notes and chords can get a bit overwhelming. Overall though it's really great! :)

Developer(+2)

Yeah we definitely put in a lot of effort into both the HD and 8-bit versions. Thanks for the feedback!

Love the vibe and contrast of each track, and the inclusion of an 8 bit version is an awesome idea. Great Work!

Developer(+1)

I'm glad you like them! The idea for the 8-bit versions definitely came from the 8-bit sections in Mario Odyssey and how the music changes along with the character

Submitted(+1)

Wow! This is possibly my favourite entry! The HD versions are amazing and the contrast with the 8-bit instuments is really cool <3

Developer(+1)

Thanks so much, I am glad you enjoy them!
