Description
The genre is a mix between electronic, fakebit, orchestral, and old console style music. A lot of the instruments and sounds are improvised throughout the soundtrack to give it a similar feel but different style throughout!

If you'd like to check out the story descriptions and purpose of each track in the soundtrack, you can check it out on the soundtrack's page :D

Message from the artist:
If you decide to listen to my soundtrack, thank you! If you like my work, you can check out my Soundcloud, and if your interested in having me do music for you for a game or other project, let me know!

Theme

a journey to remember.

How does it fit the theme?
The story of a man who is living a normal life, when a catastrophe occurs, sending the man into a Coma. However, the Coma state is a dream, nightmarish version of reality. The protagonist must get through every construct of fear in his nightmare and destroy his Lucid Nightmare in order to regain conciseness in the real world.

The game and soundtrack is both literally and figuratively a journey to remember. The man must make a journey through his imagination and mind in order to overcome his fears, in order to regain consciousness in the real world.

This was incredible!!  I really like your spin on the theme, and I appreciate your taste and sense of sound.  Really engaging listen. And fabulous album art, btw!

Everybody loves a heartbeat monitor used as a rhythmic instrument. ;)

Really love these cheesy metal guitar synths! They definitely sound best when you add a bit of modulation to them, either through portamento or vibrato.

The Clown definitely comes off as creepy and unhinged, especially with the laughs and BPM/pitch warbles.

Final Encounter has such a cool, driving vibe to it! I love how much energy you packed into this track. To my ears, it sounds the most finished, and has the most consistent volume level.

In general, I think mixing is your biggest struggle here – instruments often come and go very suddenly, leading to pretty intense changes in volume that required me to adjust my headphones up or down several times. If you can spare the time, I’d always recommend bouncing your tracks, getting out of your recording space, and listening to them on your phone or car stereo to help you map out any areas where the mix isn’t quite working.

Nicely done nightmarish music ^_^.

That Final Encounter track is straight heat! Love it! I also very much enjoy all of your sound design choices throughout the OST. Great job!

very nice. I really like the storytelling in most of your music. the car crash, medical sounds, even the hidden heartbeat in the second Coma song. Clown was perfect, not the happy joker, but the sinister one hiding in the back waiting for you to turn your back on him.

Very twisted and introspectIve catchy soundtrack. The sound design is quite unique. Great stuff you posted here ma friend ^^

Love the use of a leitmotif that reappears often but with different variations and sounds.

I enjoyed the album a lot! The tracks Coma nd Final Encounter have a synthwave-y feeling to them which I really really love. Also loving the production value and overall composition :)

That hit in the Final Encounter is absolute goooooooooold!!! Such a well-executed OST from start to finish.  The production quality was fantastic and authentic. Really enjoyed listening to this! Great work <3

An OST which alone tells a complete story, from the accident and coma to the adventure that plays out in the head of the accident victim. The different tracks (sometimes a little short : not long enough to have the development they deserve) with very varied sounds follow one another, depicting a story of memories, of encounters, with the aim of regaining consciousness. A inner journey, as interesting as successful.

wow, that opening scared the crap out of me i gotta say.  the coma theme is very intense. my favorite track is willow. it's a combination of charming and unsettling and really draws me in. i don't love the clown theme but ... what can i say? clowns are... not my fave. maybe we are not supposed to like this track all that much. still an interesting iteration of the main melody. :)

Duuuude, really memorable main theme. So rad hearing it come back in the other tracks, i'm sitting here like "its coming i know its coming."

With every compliment, i offer some constructive criticism given with no offense, in hopes that we can all help each other grow.  So coma is literally the vibe track. Everyone knows it. I was gonna talk about how the amp noise emits a frequency that classes with the harmony, but when I heard the end i realized you actually kept it as a creative choice. Love that.

So actually the only constructive thing I have to say, is that man oh man you need a real guitarist to track this. If those midi guitars sound that good, imagine a real guitar player hitting all those subtle musical sounds and reflections that come from the fretboard. (Maybe mess around with pitch bending some of the melody instead of fretboard sliding up to the note.)

Awesome use of audio sfx to tell your tracks stories as well.  Cheers, it was a pleasure to hear this OST.

ps. im scared of clowns now

Wow Coma is a really powerful song, love the sound design in the intro and how the heartbeat flows into the melody. Great work!

I started listening to your music when lone rabbit first compiled the Soundcloud playlist and I loved it!

The whole track feels super cohesive and sounds nothing like anything I have ever heard before! Well done!

Impression: I immediately fell in love with the music. It really took me on a journey. My favourite track is definitely The Willow!

Creativity: I really like your game concept. Each track felt unique and a little unnerving. Suits a horror game really well! You have a very unique sound and your use of dissonance is super creative. (the laughter jump scared me)

Quality: I had a few peaking issues but other than that the tracks were really well put together.

Correlation to the theme: I definitely think you got the feel of a journey down!

Well done on this!

It would be super cool if you could check out my submission too: https://itch.io/jam/ost-composing-jam/rate/1071576

Hey thanks for listening to the soundtrack! I'm glad you liked it!

Im glad you felt the track felt cohesive. The goal was to create a soundtrack that felt similar in sound but different in style, so that way it felt unique but cohesive!

I wish I had more time to fix the clipping issues but I was running low on time unfortunately 😂 But I'm glad I got to submit it to the jam!

Overall thanks for your review! I super appreciate you checking out!
