Considering it's a solo project with only 12h development time, it is really amazing. Changing the shape to be able to reach certain areas is a very interesting game mechanic. You can still make a lot out of it.

Great achievement, especially considering that you only had 12 hours and were alone. The concept with the shape shifting is really cool. Although when I first read it I tought the player would actually change in physical size and shape, which might make the puzzles even more intersting. Also I don't understand why there is a cooldown on the shape shifting.

I think I got stuck a few times (mostly as a triangle shape) - might be worth investigating, depending on how busy you are after the jam :)

Thank You for playing and for the comment ! I already discovered the problem, when I was making the game I thought that i had to change the collider too but no haha, that's why it bugs sometimes

Great game and great idea ! I love the gameplay and the ambiance setted by the music. I like the idea of having to game shape, an idea could be that you have to go to dedicated places to change shape.

Hope you had fun building this first project and I hope to see your futur creation !

Developer

Thank You!!
I had a blast doing this game, hope to continue making games

Good job here for your first solo project! I think the idea and gameplay are pretty straightforward, but this did not keep me from having to stop and think sometimes.

It happened to me that I got stuck on walls and ceilings, but this is probably a collision issue.

I had fun overall, so if you had fun making the game as well, keep it up :)

Thank you! Yeah it's a collisions issue!
Yes I will continue I had a blast doing this game!

I love puzzle games! I think the idea was smart and the art style was cool.

Controls were a big glitchy, sometimes I couldn't move anymore after changing shape. I had to jump before being able to move again. But I still could finish the game!

Developer

thanks for playing, I think that glitch is in the collisions, thank you for the review

A very solid entry for the first game ever. Nice little platformer puzzle game. Very intuitive and brings a cool shape-shifting mechanic. Also, the art isn't as horrible as you think haha, you undersell yourself.

In terms of core mechanics, I'd suggest making the shape-shifting have no cooldown. That way it would make it snappy and more fun to engage with. And of course, more levels and complexity, later on, would also be appreciated. One last thing I've noticed there are some bugs with the hitboxes, sometimes I couldn't move at all when there were no obstacles or even with the appropriate shape I couldn't pass through the doors. Just something to look into in the future.

Good job!

Thank you, I kinda know why the colisions are messed up, I thought when changing the the shape also changing the 2dCollider to the same shape, Then sometimes when you shitf the shape, in a few milliseconds you are without collisions, overall thinking this is kinda stupid, cuz the collision shape doesn't matter.
In the benning there was no cooldown, the I changed to 3 sec, later coming in senses with only 2 sec, but after play testing I could say that yeah the cooldown was unecessary.
Thank you for the review! Also thank you for playing

A really cool idea but the puzzles are a bit simple
