wow super polished, the menu and general presentation and of course music is super slick.

Unfortunately I also felt like the timing was a bit off.  I remember playing a rhythm game once (may have been crypt of the necrodancer) where you could actually set an offset to the timing, set the timing to be a few milliseconds ahead or behind the track.  Even if it isn't "correct", if it feels good to the player, that's all that matters, right?  I think something like that would add massively to the game.

Nice entry though, thanks!

Great aesthetics! You really nailed the dance floor vibes πŸ•Ί

So this is a personal 'gripe' and I know this would not fit in with controlling the direction that the player is moving but I would like a control configuration where the 4 buttons are four consecutive buttons on the keyboard (e.g. QWER) because my ol' brain has a short circuit whenever I have to press Left & Down or Up & Right at the same time.

Totally fair! Thank you for giving it a go.

Absolutely groovy. Dig the vibes, the lighting, the rhythm. Great stuff. I do feel that the timing is a bit strict with the inputs, it seems like there's leniency when pressing early, but if you're at all late then it just counts as a miss, not a near miss. I do also think more effects for perfect hits would be a good addition. I also couldnt focus on the ragdoll but I appreciate the freestyle mode to play around in :)

Spot on with the feedback, thank you! πŸ•ΊπŸΎπŸŽ΅

Well done, I'm not the biggest fan of rhythm games but thought it was a really good idea to link the dancer to the moves, I echo some of the feedback below. One idea might be to sting moves together in waves, further up the screen so you have a bit more time to see how the dances play out. In anycase still cool, good luck with the jam :)

Really enjoyed the visual style in this <3

Like it a lot! Though I had the urge in wanting to see how the character dances, but I simply cant do that will pressing down arrows haha, multitasking am I right? Love the concept, good music and effects. I myself made a guitar hero like game and I understand the timing can be somewhat off despite it feeling or looking as if it registered correctly, I would suggest maybe add more effects based on the combo score? Some cool effects or perfect spree effects could be cool. Nicely done.

Thank you for playing! I agree with wanting to watch the character dance, which is why I added the Silent Disco mode! πŸ˜

Great feedback.

This covers my 2 main feelings while playing this too, that I kept missing beats even thought it seemed like I was hitting them and that I would have loved to have more chances to just watch the dancer groove out. Maybe some solo/freestyle sections?

Developer

Love the idea of a freestyle section during the song!

We welcome our first member to the F club! πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

Glad you liked it Rodwin, but in the interest of everyone's safety, do not attempt the third track!
