A simple and enjoyable game! Its straightforward and have good replayability value. I'm not sure why my browser doesn't work to load the game but the window's executable works!

It is a really interesting mechanic, to have the weapons attach in a specific way, kinda fun. Though i found myself not having enough time to adjust myself to get them to attach in the right orientation.

The crosshair is not 100% redundant, but it does not really explain where you are aiming, so it is a bit weird. I get that from a functional perspective, the crosshair makes sense, but you can really use it to aim your gun unless they are attached just right.

Though non of that takes away from it being a fun little (looter-)shooter, good job.

I found it quite difficult to aim just with rotation. Not sure how the mouse right - adjust aim comes in?

Developer

Thank you for your feedback. The adjust aim action might be a bit unintuitive, as it was one of the last things implemented during the jam. Holding right mouse button allows you to move the mouse without the slime and weapons rotating, basically changing which position is "front facing".

I was following your uploads on discord and I'm glad I did. You made an awesome gameplay loop.  The amount of weapon variety is great too.  This game has enough to make me keep playing, I'm jealous. I only had one problem, I couldn't use keyboard while full screen( tried using chrome and firefox). Otherwise, keep up the great work.

Developer

Glad you enjoy the game and thanks for the feedback :)

Yea, the input not working after toggling full screen is an annoying bug we couldn't seem to fix. GameMaker compiling games for browser play still seems to have some quirks.

These graphics and jiggle physics worked so well for the general feeling of the game.

Developer(+1)

Thanks :) funny thing is that the jiggle physics were kind of a happy accident that turned out perfect, as each blob's position just happened to be updated one frame after the one it's attached to. Great example of "It's not a bug, it's a feature"

Yo this game is really cool. The enemies are rather difficult to hit but I love that the game is simple to pick up and get the hang of really quickly. Actually, this game is quite a bit similar to our game Little Iron in many ways but I think Attach Attack is the more innovative of the two. Specifically, I love how each individual weapon blob has its own health and can therefore be used as both defense and offense. Such a simple idea but so effective. Well done!!

Thanks for your feedback :) I agree that the enemies are a bit difficult to hit at first, definitely has somewhat of a learning curve. During development I was thinking about ways to improve aiming a bit and I'll definitely work on that in the future. I'll check out Little Iron as well :)
