Is your game set to public on itch.io so we can see it?
Yes
Summarise your game!
A fast paced roguelike shooter where you use your body as a weapon to fight the evil corporation
Please explain how your game fits the theme:
The theme is applied in the form of you, the player, having to use your in game fingers and arms as bullets, together with a kick attack, making your character's body the weapon part of "you are the weapon".
Is there anything you'd like the judges to pay particular attention to?
We focused on functional gameplay, onboarding with a simple tutorial, and the "brutal fun" aspects of these kinds of first person shooters.

Fun idea but definitely a bit tricky, found myself running out of "ammo" very fast. That and I'm just terrible at shooters that are this fast paced 😂
The music was good, it suited the fast paced vibe very well.... but its weird, like the beat was making me feel properly anxious and I don't know why?
Great inclusion of a tutorial, as others have said, often missed in Jams, but so useful.
I'm not a big fan of throwing away your body parts, but it's definitely a creative take on "you are the weapon" :) And a fantastic execution of tutorial/onboarding - which is often omitted in game jams.
Great job! Also liked the music
One of the best games I've played this jam! Super fun aesthetics and style. The concept is hilarious and all the combat options are perfectly tuned and designed. The difficulty curve was satisfying and the ebb and flow of combat was incredible. I think that the "return fingers" powerup perhaps made the game a bit too easy. Great work!
This was so different than other shooters because instead of just running backwards and shooting, you had to pick weak spots and charge forward blasting through so you could get your fingers back. Very fun, made it to level 7.
Sheesh, level 7?! How many dudes per room did you have to fight, based on the behind the scenes math, that would be between 25 to 35 dudes xD well done
Yeah It was a ton, I saved up 75 AP for the auto loader too but I didn't get luckt because it didn't appear in the vending machine
This was soo much fun! The idea is genius for this theme and honestly the only thing this game needs is MOOORE of everything :D By that I mean: new things you can do with your body. Maybe some upgrades can be that the fingers fly towards enemies, or they can be dropped like bombs and detonated from distance, which then makes the player try to get fingers off of enemies. Maybe the player can shoot them like a shotgun all at once, maybe we can regenerate the fingers and s hoot like a machine gun. So many possibilities! The game also needs more movement. Sliding, jump kick, parkour... That would make it 100x more fun. But as everyone else said, it is really good and for a game jam prototype it's perfect! Good luck and great job!
This was legitimately hilarious to play, the absurdity of aesthetic never got old. The little details stood out so much, the sound of your fingers returning was somehow cathartic and unsettling all at once, and I loved the choice of cel-shading for the environment, made the geometric room designs feel really clean. Genuinely nothing but praise, I can really see how you might flesh out each mechanic further with more time, but for a jam you absolutely nailed the core of the idea.
Super great work by everyone involved, great job!
This art style was great, and the music too. The game play got a little repetitive, I'd enter a room, double-tap LMB and RMB at each enemy and move on, but it was more fun later. I wish throwing the arms had a bit more impactful, it seemed to do the same amount of damage as a finger, making it just one more projectile. Overall, great game!
That music and distinctive art style is a winning combo. Really original idea and I love the trade off's of your ability and need to recover bits. Super fun game! Couldn't figure out if there was a way to recover health though. I'd maybe add some sound settings too. Awesome game, and I will be playing it again later.
Thank you for the comment.
You regain a little bit of life picking up the bits from fallen enemies, and there is a vending machine item that you can buy that restore about half your health.
Great game overall
I wish it would autoimatically pick up your fingers when you leave the room so you would have a more even pacing
On a more serious note - I am sad that you can't play as an orc.
Thank you for the comment
There is an upgrade that can appear in the vending machine for 75 that causes your fingers to auto return to your hand when they hit the floor.
Neat! Fun idea to shoot the fingers! It took a while until I noticed you had to pick up the fingers in order. Cool idea, nice execution! Like the sound effects.
This was definitely one of the more unique games I've tried. In a good way. I love the silliness behind actually firing limbs to attach enemies. It's interesting that you can launch your arms as well at the cost of not being able to pick up fingers as long as it's gone. Games like this one is what game jams are all about :) Great job!
Well, that definitely its in the theme xD I think you did an incredible job with this game. Yes, it is very raw but the idea is amazing and the fact that you have rooms with different layouts is awesome. I can agree with other comments that this felt weird but not in a bad way. Hard to say anything because it was done only in 2 weeks and thats amazing but it definitely needs more polishing to better understand where it is going. As a primarily mechanic I think its awesome but the movement wasn't to my taste. I would enjoy better with quake style movement but take it as a personal preference rather opinion. Definitely a good work.
Amazing job for a primary mechanic. Juggling your body part "ressources" while fighting these varied enemies make for a pretty intense combat loop. Presentation is alse great, that music is perfect haha
Only criticism I have is the choice of Q as the twrowning the whole arm button, it's very awkward to use and move with WASD at the same time, and maybe set stamina to infinite when out of combat to encourage exploration.
Very well done, hat's off to you, I think this game as a lot of potential for expansion.
Really fun entry, gives me Angerfoot vibes, and you even fit an upgrade system in there!
My one bit of criticism is that Shift to sprint feels unnecessary, I would let the player move at their maximum possible speed without having to hold a button, or maybe add a dash ability instead if you want to give the player more options for movement.
Pretty much forgot to leave a comment here! Awesome game, I really like the shader that you're using and the music just help intensify the action so much! A really cool mechanic that I wanna see is some special abilities that you could implement after the jam ends. Overall cool game with cool mechanics :)))))
Amazing game. Loved the concept and the action. Art style is really cool too. The music transitioning seamlessly was nice. I learned my lesson to make sure I have all my fingers before I leave the room lol
very original concept, at least I never threw fingers around, I just had an attention problem because I forgot one of my fingers in a previous room :D.
This was fun and goofy! It felt really smooth and satisfying to play, especially when you kill a ton of enemies all at once! i really like the finger shooting mechanic, my only complaint is that sometimes I struggled to efficiently use the arm shooting ability and the kick with the control scheme (maybe a skill issue). This might be because i'm not super good at FPS games, but i sometimes struggled to land the arm shooting attack. Otherwise though, i like this game! it's fun, and feels good to play :D
Fun game! The visual aesthetic and soundtrack really add to the atmosphere and ridiculousness of the situation. Also felt like there was a lot of interesting split second decision making, between how to take an enemy down. Is very cool that I can rip off both my arms to stun a wizard before jumping down a stair case and kicking them in the head.
Lost it when I shot my arm out the first time. Nice game man
