  • Pretty cool approach to the theme and I like the concept! Feels incomplete though and I couldn't get the happiness higher than 70%. Was relaxing to paint the landscape and the design was cute, especially when zoomed in, but otherwise not too engaging of a game. I wish Boogi moved around or responded to things like he did in the tutorial. With a bit more work and polish this could be really cool! Keep making games!

It's very very cute ! Love Boogi design <3
Game is simple but absolutely lovely.

Maybe the areas should get bigger by the more "costly" the plants are ?
As others said, stuck at 70% too :(
Thanks you for thinking of AZERTY keyboards too.

I gave Boogi a flower !
Then a Shroom ! He seemed happy (I wanted to show a picture but couldn't but what happened is : I planted a mushroom on his head... :D )

Boogi is happy so I am happy

Nice game, got to max 70% nature. At least i see i'm not the only one that ran out of time while making their game 🤣. (based on the response to ckdarby).

It seems like there is a bug, no matter what I do I can't get past 70%

I can't believe you could wrap up a 3d game for the jam in such little time.

Here are my notes while playing:

  • The screen doesn't seem to scale to the resolution (canvas_items) / UI is very small on 4k resolution
  • Dialogic has a bug in Godot 4.3, which requires the dialog to be clicked twice for each prompt
  • Would be nice to have something that you're fighting against that is taking up your spreading nature
  • RNG events would also be interesting like thunder storms, the campfire randomly causes fire spread, etc
  • Tooltips on planting would be nice. I thought the "bush" was a tree TBH.
  • I think there is a bug with the center placement. It includes the water area in the calculations and makes it impossible to hit 100%.
  • Rotation of camera would be nice, difficult to spread at the back of the map

It's a solid game; honestly would pay for something like this with more content added and progression. Kind of reminds me of Terra Nil.

Wow i really appreciate your in depth analysis and such nice comments. I think you understand me when i say there was so much more i wanted to do but i didnt have the time in the end, primarily due to poor planning. And yea its not a bug that 70% thing, i just didnt implement getting over to that last 100%, i know, I literally could have jjst changed 1 number to make it happen... but yea next time xD

Addictive, fun, cute art. Boogi has terrible grammar though. Get that man a tutor.

I love you BoogDaddy <3
