  • Very polished, loved the music and retro zelda art style! I found only the bow was useful, but as a prototype that can always be developed further of course. I would consider trying to think of a good hook for the game. Something to really set it apart from other bullet hell RPGs out there. Great job!!

Super well polished for a game jam game, looking forward to see if this gets expanded upon. Occasionally a mob would get stuck somewhere I couldn't see them at all, this was honestly the only nitpicky part besides there being no abilities (for obvious reasons) but seriously up there in terms of game jam.

Thank you for the kind words! Let's say that the lack of visibility adds up to the game's difficulty ahaha

Had fun with this one, the visual style works the music is soothing. The combat was a little bit repetitive for me, after realising that the sword is very bad and using only the bow. I also only had like 1 chance to level up, so the skill system did not really made a difference gameplay wise. But it is a pretty nicely put together prototype with a lot of literal soul. So good job to the developers, there is a lot of potential in this game!

Developer

Thank you so much for your criticism and feedback! I agree with you it might becoming tedious after a while, hence why I kept it short. And yeah the sword should have got a bit more love. If you kill every enemy in game once, you should level up at least 2 times, since every ghost awards you with 100 xp, the xp needed for level up is 300, and increases 100 per level. The skill tree was something I really wanted the game to have, but I can see it's more of a flex than it actually helps.

You can tell the developers put their heart into this.

Love the art style!  The performance wasn't too great, probably a browser issue. I've had issues like this before with my games so I usually upload a backup Windows build for players that encounter issues.

Thank you for playing the game and dropping your insights. Will keep that in mind in future releases!

The game is adorable. I really like the subpixel shading on the players cloak.

Gameplay wise it was very intuitive. I ended up sticking with the bow throughout.

Developer

Thank you so much for the feedback! The bow is the way to go!

Aesthetically loved it.  Really not sure what to do with enemies that park out of sight and shoot waves of projectiles in every direction, though.

So glad you liked it! Yeah those woods can be pretty dangerous, I would advise you to pick up the bow and upgrade its damage wink wink. You heard nothing from me :p
